The Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 :

✒️It was enacted on 9th February 1976 and as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 26th day of September, 1975, to provide for the incorporation, regulation and winding up of Regional Rural Banks with a view to developing the rural economy by providing, for the purpose of development of agriculture, trade, commerce, industry and other productive activities in the rural areas, credit and other facilities, particularly to the small and marginal farmers, agricultural labourers, artisans and small entrepreneurs, and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

✒️Regional Rural Banks were set up on the basis of the recommendations of the Narasimham Working Group (1975), and after the legislation of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976. 

✒️The first Regional Rural Bank “Prathama Grameen Bank” was set up on 2nd October, 1975.

The National Capital Region Planning Board Act, 1985 :

✒️It was enacted on 9th February 1985 and as per sec 1(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 19th October, 1984, to provide for the constitution of a Planning Board for the preparation of a plan for the development of the National Capital Region and for co-ordinating and monitoring the implementation of such plan and for evolving harmonized policies for the control of land-uses and development of infrastructure in the National Capital Region so as to avoid any haphazard development of that region and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976 :

✒️It was enacted on 9th February 1976 & as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 25th October, 1975, to provide for the abolition of bonded labour system with a view to preventing the economic and physical exploitation of the weaker sections of the people and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Jacques Monod - Biochemist

ஜாக்குவஸ் மோனாட் - Jacques Monod - French Biochemist & Nobel Laureate :

✒️Sculptor of Molecular Biology Jacques-Lucien Monod was born on February 9, 1910 in Paris, France. After graduation, he engaged in research on evolution, DNA, RNA genes, and enzyme synthesis called galactosidase. Together with immunologist Melvin, they discovered in 1943 that an internal signal was required to produce digestive enzymes. They compiled the results of these studies and published the general theory of induction. He worked with scientist Jacob to develop a model of protein synthesis. They also identified 2 important genes, operator and structural genes. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1965 along with researchers Francois Jacob and Andre Lwoff for their discovery of regulation of cell metabolism by creating genes and enzymes. Jacques Lucien Monod, who is regarded as the father of molecular biology, died on 31st 1976.

• மூலக்கூறு உயிரியலின் சிற்பி ஜாக்குவஸ் லூசியன் மோனாட் 1910ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 9ஆம் தேதி பிரான்ஸ் தலைநகர் பாரீஸில் பிறந்தார். இவர் பட்டம் பெற்ற பிறகு பரிணாம வளர்ச்சி, டிஎன்ஏ, ஆர்என்ஏ மரபணுக்கள், கேலக்டோசிடேஸ் எனப்படும் என்சைம் தொகுப்புகள் குறித்த ஆராய்ச்சிகளில் ஈடுபட்டார். நோய் எதிர்ப்பாற்றல் துறை வல்லுநர் மெல்வினுடன் இணைந்து செரிமான நொதியை உற்பத்தி செய்ய ஒரு உள் சமிக்ஞை தேவைப்படுவதை 1943ஆம் ஆண்டு இவர்கள் கண்டறிந்தனர். இந்த ஆய்வு முடிவுகளை தொகுத்து பொதுவான தூண்டல் கோட்பாட்டை வெளியிட்டனர். இவர் விஞ்ஞானி ஜேக்கப்புடன் இணைந்து புரோட்டீன் தொகுப்பு மாதிரியை உருவாக்கினார். மேலும் ஆப்ரேட்டர், கட்டமைப்பு மரபணு என்ற 2 முக்கியமான மரபணுக்களையும் கண்டறிந்தனர். இவர் பிரான்கோயிஸ் ஜேக்கப், ஆண்ட்ரே லூஃப் ஆகிய ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்களுடன் இணைந்து ஜீன்கள், நொதிகளை உருவாக்குவதன் மூலம் செல்களின் வளர்சிதை மாற்றத்தை நெறிப்படுத்துவது தொடர்பான கண்டுபிடிப்புக்காக 1965ஆம் ஆண்டு இவர்கள் மூவருக்கும் மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது. மூலக்கூறு உயிரியலின் தந்தை எனப் போற்றப்படும் ஜாக்குவஸ் லூசியன் மோனாட் 1976ஆம் ஆண்டு 31ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟டென்னிஸ் கபோர், ஹங்கேரிய-பிரிட்டிஷ் மின் பொறியாளர், இயற்பியலாளர் மற்றும் நோபல் பரிசு பெற்றவர், ஹாலோகிராஃபியின் கண்டுபிடிப்புக்கு பெயர் பெற்றவர், பிப்ரவரி 9, 1979 அன்று காலமானார் - Dennis Gabor, Hungarian-British Electrical Engineer, Physicist and Noble Laureate, known for his invention of holography, was passed away on 9th February 1979.

🌟 2001ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 9ஆம் தேதி சாவி என்ற புனைப்பெயர் கொண்ட தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர் சா.விசுவநாதன் மறைந்தார் - Tamil writer Sa.Viswanathan, nicknamed Saavi, was passed away on 9th February, 2001.
