The Indian Easements Act, 1882 :

✒️It was enacted on 17th February 1882 and came into force on 1st July 1882, to define and amend the law relating to Easements and Licenses.

The Seaward Artillery Practice Act, 1949 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 17th February 1949, to provide facilities for carrying out seaward artillery practice.

The Major Port Authorities Act, 2021:

✒️It was enacted on 17th February 2021 & came into force on 3rd November 2021, to provide for regulation, operation and planning of Major Ports in India and to vest the administration, control and management of such ports upon the Boards of Major Port Authorities and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Rene Laennec - Renowned Physician

ரெனே லென்னக் - Rene Theophile Hyacinthe Laennec - French Physician (Inventor of Stethoscope) :

✒️Rene Laennec, who invented a new method of detecting the heartbeat, was born on February 17, 1781 in France. After many obstacles he studied medicine and published articles on liver diseases and microorganisms found in blood. He completed his medical studies in 1804. He wrote many articles on pathology and anatomy in the period of 1808. He also researched tuberculosis and cancer. The disease names and treatment methods he discovered are still in use today. In those days doctors listened to the heartbeat only by listening to the chest. He decided to find an alternative and invented the 'stethoscope'. Laennec died on August 13, 1826 after doing many benefits to society.

இதய துடிப்பை கண்டறிய புதிய வழிமுறையை கண்டுபிடித்த ரெனே லென்னக் 1781ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 17ஆம் தேதி பிரான்ஸில் பிறந்தார். பல தடைகளுக்கு பிறகு மருத்துவம் பயின்று கல்லீரல் நோய்கள், ரத்தத்தில் காணப்படும் நுண்ணுயிரிகளை குறித்து கட்டுரைகள் வெளியிட்டார். 1804ஆம் ஆண்டு மருத்துவப் படிப்பை முடித்தார். இவர் 1808ஆம் காலக்கட்டத்தில் நோயியல், உடற்கூறியல் குறித்து பல கட்டுரைகள் எழுதினார். மேலும் காசநோய், புற்றுநோய் குறித்து ஆய்வு மேற்கொண்டார். இவர் கண்டுபிடித்த நோய்களின் பெயர்கள், சிகிச்சை முறைகள் இன்றளவும் பயன்பாட்டில் உள்ளன. அந்த நாட்களில் மார்பில் காதை வைத்துதான் இதயத்துடிப்பு சத்தத்தை மருத்துவர்கள் கேட்டனர். இவர் மாற்றுவழி கண்டுபிடிக்க முடிவு செய்து 'ஸ்டெதஸ்கோப்" கருவியை கண்டுபிடித்தார். சமூகத்திற்காக பல நன்மைகளை செய்த லென்னக் 1826ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 13ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
