The Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956 :
✒️It was enacted on 18th June 1956 and came into force on 1st July 1956, to provide for the nationalisation of life insurance business in India by transferring all such business to a Corporation established for the purpose and to provide for the regulation and control of the business of the Corporation and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

பி.கக்கன் - P. Kakkan (Kakkanji) - Indian Politician - Freedom Fighter - Former Member of Parliament :
An overview about kakkan :
✒️Kakkan was the leader of the oppressed people and a symbol of simplicity, honesty, purity and sacrifice, was born on 18th June 1908 in the village Thumbaipatti in Melur circle of Madurai district. In his life he never sought any favour from any persons, including party cadres, even though he has served as a Member of the Constituent Assembly, Member of the Lok Sabha, Minister of Public Works, Tribal Welfare, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of State for Home Affairs. In his political life, especially during his tenure as Minister, he has done so many things for the welfare of public, building dams, constructing of two agricultural universities, brought about many changes in the police force, increased their number and created the Anti-Corruption department, set up a separate unit in the police to find out the problems underlying the caste riots.
Honor;
✒️In 1999, the Government of India issued a special postage stamp in his honor in recognition of his work.
Conclusion;
✒️As a teenager he was imprisoned for 18 months for participating in freedom struggles, including the Quit Whites movement, such a wonderful patriot, a symbol of simplicity and an example to others in public life was passed away on 1981.
- விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரர், தமிழக முன்னாள் அமைச்சர் பி.கக்கன் 1908ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 18ஆம் தேதி மதுரை மாவட்டம், மேலூர் வட்டத்தில் உள்ள தும்பைப்பட்டி என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் அரசியல் அமைப்பு சட்டசபை உறுப்பினர், நாடாளுமன்ற மக்களவை உறுப்பினர், பொதுப்பணித்துறை, பழங்குடியினர் நலத்துறை, விவசாயத்துறை அமைச்சர், மாநில உள்துறை அமைச்சர் ஆகிய துறைகளின் அமைச்சராகப் பதவி வகித்துள்ளார்.
- இவர் அமைச்சர் பொறுப்பு வகித்த காலக்கட்டத்தில் அணைகள், இரண்டு விவசாயப் பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் கட்டப்பட்டன. இவரின் பணிகளைப் பாராட்டி இந்திய அரசு இவரின் உருவப்படம் பொறித்த சிறப்பு அஞ்சல் தலையை 1999ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியிட்டு கௌரவப்படுத்தியது.
- எளிமையின் சின்னமாகவும், பொது வாழ்வில் மற்றவர்களுக்கு முன்னுதாரணமாகவும் திகழ்ந்த பி.கக்கன் 1981ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 23ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
கோபுலு - S.Gopalan (Gopulu) - Tamil illustrator - Cartoonist :
✒️Famous cartoonist Gopulu was born on 18 June 1924 in Tanjore. His original name was Gopalan. He was inspired by painting genius Mali due to his interest in painting at a young age and grew up to be a painter under his support. In 1941, Mali asked him to paint a picture of Rama Pattabhishekam for the Diwali publication. The painting was praised. Then Mali changed his name to Gopulu. The characters of the stories like "Thillana Mohanambal" and "Thuppariyum Sambu" came to life in his hands and captivated the hearts of the readers. He is the recipient of Kalaimamani Award, M.A.Chidambaram Chettiar Award and winner of many awards including Lifetime Achievement Award. Gopulu, an accomplished artist who painted more than thousands of paintings, passed away on April 29, 2015.
- பிரபல ஓவியர் கோபுலு 1924ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 18ஆம் தேதி தஞ்சாவூரில் பிறந்தார். இவரின் இயற்பெயர் கோபாலன்.
- இவருக்கு இளம் வயதில் ஓவியத்தின் மீது இருந்த ஆர்வத்தால் ஓவிய மேதை மாலியால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு அவரை சந்தித்து அவரது ஆதரவில் வளர்ந்து ஓவியரானார். 1941ஆம் ஆண்டு தீபாவளி மலருக்காக ராமர் பட்டாபிஷேகம் படத்தை வரைந்து வருமாறு மாலி கூறினார். அந்த ஓவியம் பாராட்டுக்களைப் பெற்றது. பிறகு இவரது பெயரை கோபுலு என்று மாலி மாற்றினார்.
- தில்லானா மோகனாம்பாள், துப்பறியும் சாம்பு போன்ற கதைகளின் கதாபாத்திரங்கள் இவரது கையில் உயிர்பெற்று வாசகர்களின் உள்ளத்தை கவர்ந்தவைகள். கலைமாமணி, எம்.ஏ.சிதம்பரம் செட்டியார் விருது, வாழ்நாள் சாதனையாளர் விருது உள்ளிட்ட பல விருதுகளை வென்றவர்.
- பல ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஓவியங்களை வரைந்த சாதனையாளர் கோபுலு, 2015ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 29ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1858ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 18ஆம் தேதி இந்திய விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீராங்கனை ராணி லட்சுமிபாய் மறைந்தார் - Rani Lakshmibai, Rani of Jhansi, Indian queen and an Indian freedom fighter, died on June 18, 1858.
🌟சாமுவேல் வாலிஸ் பிரிட்டிஷ் கடற்படை அதிகாரி மற்றும் பசிபிக் பெருங்கடலின் ஆய்வாளர் ஆவார். 1767 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 18 ஆம் தேதி தாகித்திக்கு ஒரு ஐரோப்பிய கடற்படையினரால் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட முதல் பயணத்தை அவர் மேற்கொண்டார் - Samuel Wallis was a British naval officer and explorer of the Pacific Ocean. He made the first recorded voyage by a European sailor to Tahiti on 18 June 1767.
🌟ஜூன் 18, 2021 அன்று, புகழ்பெற்ற இந்திய தடகள வீரரான "தி ஃப்ளையிங் சீக்" மில்கா சிங் காலமானார் - On June 18, 2021, Milkha Singh, "The Flying Sikh", renowned Indian athlete, passed away.
