The Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 24th December 1971, to define and limit the powers of certain courts in punishing contempts of courts and to regulate their procedure in relation thereto.
The Cine-workers and Cinema Theatre Workers (Regulation of Employment) Act, 1981:
✒️It was enacted on 24th December 1981 & came into force on 1st October 1984, to provide for the regulation of the conditions of employment of certain cine-workers and cinema theatre workers and for matters connected therewith.
The Provisions of the Panchayats (Extension to the Scheduled Areas) Act, 1996 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 24th December 1996, to provide for the extension of the provisions of Part IX of the Constitution relating to the Panchayats to the Scheduled Areas.
The International Monetary Fund and Bank Act, 1945 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 24th December 1945, to implement the International Monetary Fund and Bank Agreements.
The Indian Statistical Institute Act, 1959 :
✒️It was enacted on 24th December 1959 & came into force on 1st April 1960, to declare the institution known as the Indian Statistical Institute having at present its registered office in Calcutta to be an institution of national importance and to provide for certain matters connected therewith.
The Andhra Pradesh and Madras (Alteration of Boundaries) Act, 1959 :
✒️It was enacted on 24th December 1959 & came into force on 1st April 1960, to provide for the alteration of boundaries of the States of Andhra Pradesh and Madras and for matters connected therewith.
The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 :
✒️It was enacted on 24th December 1986 & came into force on 15th April 1987, to provide for the better protection of the interests of consumers and for that purpose to make provision for the establishment of consumer councils and other authorities for the settlement of consumers disputes and for matters connected therewith.
தேசிய நுகர்வோர் உரிமை தினம் - National Consumer Rights Day :
✒️National Consumer Day is observed annually on 24th December in India to emphasize consumer awareness. The Consumer Protection Act of India was enacted by the Government of India on December 24, 1986. The law was created to ensure healthy competition between sellers in the market and to protect the rights of consumers. The law prohibits traders and service providers from establishing themselves in their business, prohibiting them from engaging in illegal activities, and asking for a receipt for any purchase. That's when it was created so that if there is a problem you can fight for the right. In India, The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 was replaced by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

ஈ.வெ.இராமசாமி - Erode Venkatappa Ramasamy (Thanthai Periyar) - Social Activist - Politician (Founder of Self-Respect Movement and Dravidar Kazhagam) :
✒️Today is Thanthai Periyar's Memorial Day!✒️E.V.Ramasamy popularly known as Thanthai Periyar (Respected Elder) was born on 17th September 1879 in Erode district. He was the founder of the Dravidian Movement. He is not only followed the principles of Gandhiji but also exemplified them to others. He also staged pickets against merchants selling foreign cloth. He successfully conducted anti-Hindi protest, toddy shop protest, Vaikam protest. Conducted mixed marriages and widow remarriages. A staunch foe of ignorance, superstition and meaningless formalities, he is variously known as the wise man, Vaikam warrior and Thanthai Periyar. His Self-Respect Movement aimed to 'remove superstitions among the people'. Thanthai Periyar, Sculptor of Reason, Key to the Lock of Knowledge, World's Greatest Thinker and Scholar of Immortal History, was passed away on 24th December 1973.

எம்.ஜி.ராமச்சந்திரன் - M.G.R (Maruthur Gopala Ramachandran) - Indian Politician - Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu - Founder of AIADMK - Philanthropist - Actor & Film Producer :
✒️Today is Revolutionary leader MGR's Memorial Day!
✒️MGR was
born on January 17, 1917 in Sri Lanka. His full name is Marudhur Gopalan Ramachandran. He was India's greatest actor, producer and politician. And he was the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for three consecutive terms from 1977 to till his death. He made his debut in the Tamil Nadu film industry with the film Sathileelavathi. Later he joined the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, inspired by the political views of Arignar Anna. In 1960, he was selected for the 'Padma Shri Award' but refused to accept it. He has received many awards like Bharat Ratna Award, Anna Award, Velliyanai Award. Makkal Thilagam (People's Tilak) MGR passed away on 24th December 1987 (today).

- புரட்சி தலைவர் எம்.ஜி.ஆர் 1917ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 17ஆம் தேதி இலங்கையில் பிறந்தார். இவருடைய முழுப்பெயர் மருதூர் கோபாலன் ராமச்சந்திரன். இவர் இந்தியாவின் தலைச்சிறந்த நடிகராகவும், தயாரிப்பாளராகவும், அரசியல்வாதியாகவும் இருந்தார். மேலும் இவர் 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் இறக்கும் வரை தொடர்ந்து மூன்று முறை தமிழ்நாட்டின் முதலமைச்சராக இருந்தவர். சதிலீலாவதி என்ற திரைப்படம் மூலம் தமிழக திரைத்துறையில் அறிமுகமானார். பிறகு அறிஞர் அண்ணாவின் அரசியல் கருத்துக்களில் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டு திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்தில் இணைந்தார். 1960ஆம் ஆண்டு இவர் 'பத்மஸ்ரீ விருதுக்காகத்" தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டார். ஆனால், அதை ஏற்க மறுத்துவிட்டார். இவர் பாரத ரத்னா விருது, அண்ணா விருது, வெள்ளியானை விருது போன்ற பல விருதுகளை பெற்றுள்ளார். இவர் 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 24ஆம் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.

🌟1989ஆம் ஆண்டு, டிசம்பர் 24ந் தேதியன்று, இந்தியாவின் முதல் பொழுதுபோக்கு பூங்காவான 'எஸ்ஸல் வேர்ல்ட்' மகாராஷ்டிராவின் தலைநகரான மும்பையில் திறக்கப்பட்டது - On December 24, 1989, India's first amusement park 'Essel World' was opened in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra.
