The Reserve Bank (Transfer to Public Ownership) Act, 1948 :

✒️It was enacted and enforced on 23rd September 1948, to bring the share capital of the Reserve Bank of India into public ownership and to make consequential amendments in the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.

The Factories Act, 1948 :

✒️It was enacted on 23rd September 1948 & came into force on 1st April 1949, to consolidate and amend the law regulating labour in factories.

The Interest-tax Act, 1974 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 23rd September 1974, to impose a special tax on interest in certain cases.

Navanethem Navi Pillay - Jurist

நவநீதம் பிள்ளை - Navanethem "Navi" Pillay - South African Jurist :

✒️Former U.N‌ Human Rights Commissioner and a Judge of South Africa Navaneetham Pillai was born on 23rd September 1941 in South Africa. In 1967, she started working as the first woman lawyer in the province of Natal, South Africa. He served as a protector of South African freedom fighters and South African freedom activists. In 1973, he successfully advocated for Nelson Mandela's lawyers to visit him while he was incarcerated in Robben Island. In 1992, she founded 'Equality Now', an organization fighting for women's rights. In 2003, she was awarded the first Gruber Prize for Women's Rights.

தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவைச் சேர்ந்த நீதிபதியும், முன்னாள் ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமை ஆணையாளருமான நவநீதம் பிள்ளை 1941ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 23ஆம் தேதி தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவில் பிறந்தார்.

1967ஆம் ஆண்டு தென்னாப்பிரிக்காவின் நட்டால் மாகாணத்தின் முதலாவது பெண் வழக்கறிஞராக இவர் பணியாற்ற தொடங்கினார். இவர் தென்னாப்பிரிக்க விடுதலைப் போராளிகளுக்கும், தென்னாப்பிரிக்க விடுதலைச் செயற்பாட்டாளர்களுக்கும் ஒரு பாதுகாவலராக கடமையாற்றினார்.

இவர் 1973ஆம் ஆண்டு நெல்சன் மண்டேலா ரொபன் தீவு சிறையில் அடைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தபோது அவரை வழக்கறிஞர்கள் சந்திப்பதற்கு வெற்றிகரமாக வாதாடி வெற்றி பெற்றவர்.

இவர் 1992ஆம் ஆண்டு பெண்கள் உரிமைக்காகப் போராடும் 'சமத்துவம் இப்போது" (Equality Now) என்ற அமைப்பைத் தோற்றுவித்தார். 2003ஆம் ஆண்டு இவருக்கு பெண்கள் உரிமைக்கான முதலாவது குரூபர் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

ராம்தாரி சிங் தின்கர் - Ramdhari Singh (Pen Name Dinkar) - Indian Hindi Poet - Essayist - Patriot - Academic :

✒️Hailed as one of the pillars of modern Hindi poetry, the 'National Poet' Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was born on 23rd September 1908 in the state of Bihar. He wrote 10 poems entitled 'Vijay Sandesh' (Victory Message) on the victory of the farmers' satyagraha in Bardoli in 1928 led by Sardar Patel. He received the Bharatiya Jnanpith Award for the epic 'Urvashi'. He has received many awards including Sahitya Akademi, Padma Bhushan. Famous poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan has praised that 4 Jnanpith Award awards should be given to him for his services in 4 fields namely poetry, prose, languages and development of Hindi. Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, who was praised as a revolutionary poet and national poet, passed away on 24th April 1974.

நவீன இந்தி கவிதை இலக்கியத்தின் முக்கியத் தூண்களில் ஒருவராகப் போற்றப்பட்ட 'தேசியக் கவி" ராம்தாரி சிங் தின்கர் 1908ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 23ஆம் தேதி பீகார் மாநிலத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

இவர் சர்தார் படேல் தலைமையில் பார்டோலியில் 1928ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த விவசாயிகள் சத்தியாகிரகப் போராட்ட வெற்றி குறித்து 'விஜய் சந்தேஷ்" (வெற்றிச் செய்தி) என்ற தலைப்பில் 10 கவிதைகளை எழுதினார்.

இவருக்கு 'ஊர்வசி" காவியத்திற்காக பாரதிய ஞானபீட விருது கிடைத்தது. இவர் சாகித்ய அகாடமி, பத்மபூஷண் உட்பட பல விருதுகளைப் பெற்றுள்ளார்.

கவிதை, உரைநடை, மொழிகள், இந்தி வளர்ச்சி என 4 துறைகளில் இவர் ஆற்றிய சேவைக்காக 4 ஞானபீட விருதுகள் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று பிரபல கவிஞர் ஹரிவன்ஸ்ராய் பச்சன் புகழ்ந்துள்ளார்.

புரட்சிக்கவிஞர், தேசியக்கவிஞர் என்று போற்றப்பட்ட ராம்தாரி சிங் தின்கர் 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 24ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
