The Commercial Documents Evidence Act, 1939 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 26th September 1939, to amend the Law of Evidence with respect to certain commercial documents.
The Oil Industry (Development) Act, 1974 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 26th September 1974, to provide for the establishment of a Board for the development of oil industry and for that purpose to levy a duty of excise on crude oil and natural gas and for matters connected therewith.

மன்மோகன் சிங் - Dr.Manmohan Singh - Former Prime Minister of India - Economist - Academic - Politician :
✒️Former Prime Minister of India Dr.Manmohan Singh was born on 26 September 1932 in Gah, now Pakistan. He has held various important posts like Secretary of Union Finance Ministry, Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission, Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Advisor to Prime Minister, Chairman of University Grants Commission. Dr.Manmohan Singh has received various awards and accolades in public life. Important among "Padma Vibhushan", "Jawaharlal Nehru Centenary Birthday Award", "Euro Money Award" and "Adam Smith Prize" of Cambridge University. In his political career, Dr.Singh has been a member of Rajya Sabha (India’s Upper House of Parliament). He was also the Leader of the Opposition from 1998 to 2004. Dr.Manmohan Singh was elected as the Prime Minister of India in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections and served from 2004 to 2009. Then in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Dr.Manmohan Singh was again elected as the Prime Minister of India and served from 2009 to 2014.
- இந்தியாவின் முன்னாள் பிரதமரான டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் 1932ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 26ஆம் தேதி தற்போது பாகிஸ்தானிலுள்ள கா (Gah) என்னும் ஊரில் பிறந்தார்.
- மத்திய நிதியமைச்சகத்தின் செயலாளர், திட்டக்குழுவின் துணைத்தலைவர், இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கியின் கவர்னர், பிரதமரின் ஆலோசகர், பல்கலைக்கழக மானியக்குழுவின் தலைவர் என்று பல்வேறு முக்கிய பதவிகளை வகித்துள்ளார்.
- டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் பொது வாழ்க்கையில் பல்வேறு விருதுகளையும், பெருமைகளையும் பெற்றுள்ளார். இதில் முக்கியமானது இந்திய குடிமை விருதுகளில் இரண்டாவது உயரிய விருதான பத்ம விபூஷண், இந்திய அறிவியல் மாநாட்டில் ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு நூற்றாண்டு பிறந்த நாள் விருது (1995), சிறந்த நிதியமைச்சருக்கான யூரோ செலாவணி விருது (1993), கேம்பிரிட்ஜ் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் ஆடம் ஸ்மித் பரிசு (1956) ஆகியவற்றை இவர் பெற்றுள்ளார்.
- தன்னுடைய அரசியல் வாழ்க்கையில் டாக்டர் சிங், நாடாளுமன்றத்தின் மேலவையில் (மாநிலங்களவை) உறுப்பினராக 1991ஆம் ஆண்டில் இருந்து இருக்கிறார். இவர் 1998 முதல் 2004 வரையில் எதிர்க்கட்சித் தலைவராகவும் இருந்துள்ளார்.
- 2004ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் இந்திய பிரதமராகப் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு 2004ஆம் ஆண்டுமுதல் 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை பதவி வகித்தார். பிறகு 2009ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த மக்களவைத் தேர்தலில் மீண்டும் டாக்டர் மன்மோகன் சிங் இந்திய பிரதமராகப் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டு 2009ஆம் ஆண்டுமுதல் 2014ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை பதவி வகித்தார்.
