The Tobacco Board Act, 1975 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th March 1975 & came into force on 28th August 1976, to provide for the development under the control of the Union of the tobacco industry.

The Sports Broadcasting Signals (Mandatory Sharing with PrasarBharati) Act, 2007 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th March 2007 & as per Sec 1(3) Save as otherwise provided, it shall be deemed to have come into force on 11th November, 2005, to provide access to the largest number of listeners and viewers, on a free to air basis, of sporting events of national importance through mandatory sharing of sports broadcasting signals with Prasar Bharati and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Sugar Development Fund Act, 1982 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th March 1982 & came into force on 1st June 1982, to provide for the financing of activities for development of sugar industry and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

ஆச்சார்ய கிருபளானி - Jivatram Bhagwandas Kripalani (popularly known as Acharya Kripalani) - Freedom  Fighter - Social Activist - Indian Politician :

✒️Today is his memorial day!

✒️Jivatram Bhagwandas Kripalani who spread Gandhism was born on 11th November 1888 in Hyderabad. When he was in college, he organized a protest against the students for saying 'Indians are liars'. He served as the Principal of Gujarat Vidyapith founded by Mahatma Gandhi. He remained a lifelong Gandhian. He participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement, the Salt Satyagraha, the Quit India Movement and went to jail several times. He served as the General Secretary of the Indian National Congress. Then he was elected as its president in 1946. Then he leaves Congress Party and started a political party called "Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party". He has served four times as a Member of Parliament. Although actively involved in politics, he also worked for social and environmental interests and died on March 19, 1982.

✒️காந்தியத்தை பரப்பிய ஜீவித்ராம் பகவன்தாஸ் கிருபளானி 1888ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 11ஆம் தேதி ஹைதராபாத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவர் கல்லூரியில் படிக்கும்போது, 'இந்தியர்கள் பொய்யர்கள்" என்று கூறியதற்காக மாணவர்களை ஒன்று திரட்டி போராட்டம் நடத்தினார். இவர் மகாத்மா காந்தி நிறுவிய குஜராத் வித்யாபீடத்தின் முதல்வராக பணியாற்றினார். இவர் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதும் காந்தியவாதியாகவே திகழ்ந்தார். ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கம், உப்பு சத்தியாகிரகம், வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு இயக்கம் ஆகியவற்றில் கலந்துகொண்டு, பலமுறை சிறை சென்றுள்ளார். இவர் இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரஸ் பொதுச் செயலாளராக பணியாற்றினார். 1946ஆம் ஆண்டு அதன் தலைவராக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். காங்கிரஸிலிருந்து விலகி கிஷான் மஸ்தூர் பிரஜா பார்ட்டி என்ற அரசியல் கட்சியைத் தொடங்கினார். இவர் நான்கு முறை நாடாளுமன்ற உறுப்பினராகப் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். அரசியலில் தீவிரமாக ஈடுபட்டு வந்தாலும் சமூகம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் நலன்களுக்காகவும் பணியாற்றிய இவர் 1982ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 19ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

M.P.N.Ponnusamy - Nadaswara Artist

எம்.பி.என்.பொன்னுசாமி - M.P.N.Ponnusamy - Nadaswara Musical Artist :

✒️In "Thillana Mohanambal" film "Nalamthanaa" song, the nathaswaram played by M.P.N.Ponnusamy, who is one of the nathaswaram players for the song, was born on 19th March 1933 in Madurai. Another person who gave us all that sweet music was Nathaswara artist M.P.N.Sethuraman (brother of M.P.N.Ponnusamy). Ponnusamy started performing with his brother from the age of nine. He has received many awards like Kalaimamani Award, Nathaswara Kalanidhi, Sangeetha Choodamani Award, Music Scholar Award.

✒️தில்லானா மோகனாம்பாள் படத்தில் வருகின்ற நலம்தானா? என்கிற பாடலுக்கு நாதஸ்வரம் வாசித்தவர்களில் ஒருவரான எம்.பி.என்.பொன்னுசாமி 1933ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 19ஆம் தேதி மதுரையில் பிறந்தார். நமக்கெல்லாம் அந்த இனிய இசையை வழங்கிய மற்றொருவர் நாதஸ்வரக் கலைஞரான எம்.பி.என்.சேதுராமன் (எம்.பி.என்.பொன்னுசாமி சகோதரர்) ஆவார். பொன்னுசாமி ஒன்பதாவது வயதில் இருந்து தனது சகோதரருடன் இணைந்து இசை நிகழ்ச்சிகளை செய்யத் தொடங்கினார். இவர் கலைமாமணி விருது, நாதஸ்வர கலாநிதி, சங்கீத சூடாமணி விருது, இசைப்பேரறிஞர் விருது போன்ற பல விருதுகளை பெற்றுள்ளார்.
