The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 :

✒️It was enacted on 22nd April 2013 & came into force on 9th December 2013, to provide protection against sexual harassment of women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints of sexual harassment and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

உலக புவி தினம் - Earth Day :

✒️It is observed in all countries to emphasize the importance of Earth's environment and to prevent pollution. Gaylord Nelson, an American, thought that the people of the world should realize the problem that has happened to the earth. So he used to conduct processions, public meetings, dharnas etc. with students. On April 22, 1970, he held a rally attended by 2 crore people to protect the Earth. This is being observed as World Earth Day.

✒️ புவியின் சுற்றுச்சூழலின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தி, புவி மாசடைவதை தடுக்கும் நோக்கத்தோடு அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும் இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. பூமிக்கு ஏற்பட்டுள்ள பிரச்சனையை உலக மக்கள் உணர வேண்டும் என கேலார்டு நெல்சன் (Gaylord Nelson) என்கிற அமெரிக்கர் கருதினார். எனவே அவர் ஊர்வலம், பொதுக்கூட்டம், தர்ணா போன்றவற்றை மாணவர்களை கொண்டு நடத்தி வந்தார். 1970ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 22ஆம் தேதி புவியைப் பாதுகாக்க 2 கோடி பேர் கலந்துக்கொண்ட பேரணியை நடத்தினார். இதுவே, உலக புவி தினமாக மாறி கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது.

Vladimir Lenin - Revolutionary

விளாதிமிர் லெனின் - Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Vladimir Lenin) - Russian Revolutionary - Politician - Political Theorist :

✒️Vladimir Lenin, better known to the world as 'Lenin', was born on April 22, 1870 in Simbirsk (now Ulyanovsk), Russia. His birth name was Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov. He decided to fight for the people against the tyrannical Tsar. He also started the Labor Liberation Movement for the workers. In 1917, a popular revolution ended the monarchy in Russia. Devoting his life to the oppressed people, Lenin died at the age of 53 (21.1.1924). His body was embalmed and preserved in the Red Cemetery in Russia. This place is called Lenin's Mausoleum.

✒️ 'லெனின்" என்ற பெயரிலேயே உலகம் முழுவதும் நன்கு அறியப்பட்ட விளாதிமிர் லெனின் 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 22ஆம் தேதி ரஷ்யாவில் உள்ள சிம்பிர்ஸ்க் என்ற நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவருடைய இயற்பெயர் விளாடிமிர் இலீச் உல்யானவ். இவர் மக்களுக்காக, கொடுங்கோலாட்சி நடத்திக் கொண்டிருந்த ஜார் மன்னனுக்கு எதிராக போராடத் தீர்மானித்தார். மேலும் தொழிலாளர்களுக்காக தொழிலாளர் விடுதலை இயக்கம் என்பதை தொடங்கினார். 1917ஆம் ஆண்டு மக்களால் புரட்சி நிகழ்த்தப்பட்டு ரஷ்யாவில் மன்னராட்சி முடிவுக்கு கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது. ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட மக்களுக்காக தன் வாழ்க்கையை அர்ப்பணித்த லெனின் தனது 53ம் வயதில் (21.1.1924) மறைந்தார். இவருடைய உடல் பதப்படுத்தப்பட்ட நிலையில் ரஷ்யாவில் உள்ள செஞ்சதுக்கத்தில் பாதுகாக்கப்பட்டது. இவ்விடத்திற்கு லெனின் மாஸோலியம் என்று பெயர்.

மோன்டால்சினி - Rita Levi-Montalcini - Neurobiologist - Italian Nobel Laureate (Received Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine jointly with colleague Stanley Cohen for the discovery of nerve growth factor) :

✒️Renowned neurologist Rita Levi Montalcini was born on April 22, 1909 in Italy. The Italian government banned Jews from practicing medicine in 1938. Thus, she set up a laboratory in her room and used to do research. Her research on proteins that stimulate the growth of nerve cells led to the discovery of cancer, Alzheimer's and infertility treatments. She was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1986 for her discovery of nerve growth factors. Rita Levi Montalcini, who was given the title of 'country's top researcher' by the same Italian government that banned her from research and business, she died on December 30, 2012.

✒️மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற பிரபல நரம்பியலாளர் ரீட்டா லெவி மோன்டால்சினி 1909ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 22ஆம் தேதி இத்தாலியில் பிறந்தார். இத்தாலி அரசு 1938ஆம் ஆண்டு யூதர்களுக்கு மருத்துவத்தில் தடைவிதித்தது. இதனால், இவர் தனது அறையிலேயே ஒரு சோதனைக்கூடம் அமைத்து ஆராய்ச்சி செய்து வந்தார். நரம்பு செல்களின் வளர்ச்சியை தூண்டும் புரோட்டீன்கள் குறித்த இவரது ஆராய்ச்சி புற்றுநோய், அல்சீமர், மலட்டுத்தன்மை சிகிச்சை முறைகளைக் கண்டறிய வழிவகுத்தன. இவருக்கு நரம்பு வளர்ச்சி காரணிகள் குறித்த கண்டுபிடிப்புக்காக 1986ஆம் ஆண்டு மருத்துவத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு வழங்கப்பட்டது. இவருக்கு ஆராய்ச்சி செய்யவும், தொழில் செய்யவும் தடை விதித்த அதே இத்தாலி அரசிடம், 'நாட்டின் உயர்ந்த ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்" என்ற பட்டத்தை பெற்ற ரீட்டா லெவி மோன்டால்சினி 2012ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 30ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟1977ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 22ந் தேதி, ஒளியிழை மூலம் முதல் நேரடி தொலைபேசி பரிமாற்றம் நடைப்பெற்றது - On April 22, 1977, the first direct telephone transmission was made over optical fiber.
