The Essential Commodities Act, 1955 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 1st April 1955, to provide, in the interest of the general public, for the control of the production, supply and distribution of, and trade and commerce, in certain commodities.

முட்டாள்கள் தினம் - April Fool's Day (This day is an annual custom consisting of practical jokes and hoaxes, celebrating on 1st April every year) :

✒️April Fool's Day is celebrated all over the world on April 1st. Until the 16th century, New Year's Day was celebrated on April 1 in many European countries. Later, in 1562, Gregory replaced the old Julian calendar with the new Gregorian calendar. According to this, the New Year begins on January 1. People who started celebrating the New Year on the 1st day of January called those who celebrated the New Year on the 1st day of April following this old custom as fools. From this, the 1st day of April became April Fools' Day.

✒️முட்டாள்கள் தினம், ஏப்ரல் முதலாம் நாள் உலகம் முழுவதும் கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 16ம் நூற்றாண்டு வரை ஐரோப்பாவின் பல நாடுகளில் புத்தாண்டு தினம் ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வந்தது. பின்னர் 1562ஆம் ஆண்டளவில் பழைய ஜூலியன் ஆண்டுக் கணிப்புமுறையை ஒதுக்கி புதிய கிரேகோரியன் ஆண்டுக் கணிப்புமுறையை கிரகரி நடைமுறைப்படுத்தினார். இதன்படி ஜனவரி 1 அன்றுதான் புத்தாண்டு ஆரம்பமாகின்றது. ஜனவரி முதலாம் தேதியை புத்தாண்டாகக் கொண்டாட தொடங்கிய மக்கள் இந்த பழைய வழக்கத்தைப் பேணி ஏப்ரல் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில் புத்தாண்டைக் கொண்டாடுபவர்களை முட்டாள்கள் என்று அழைத்தார்கள். இதிலிருந்து ஏப்ரல் முதல் நாள் முட்டாள்கள் தினமாக ஆரம்பமாயிற்று.

முகமது ஹமீத் அன்சாரி - Mohammad Hamid Ansari - Politician - Former (12th) Vice President of India (2007 to 2017) - Diplomat :

✒️Former Vice President of India Hamid Ansari was born on 1st April 1937 in Kolkata. He passed the Indian Civil Service Examination in 1961 and joined the External Affairs Ministry. He also served as Indian   to Australia, Indian Ambassador to United Arab States, Afghanistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc. He was also Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He was also the chairman of the National Commission for Minorities. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1984.

✒️முன்னாள் இந்திய துணை குடியரசுத் தலைவர் ஹமீத் அன்சாரி அவர்கள் 1937ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி கொல்கத்தாவில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 1961ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய சிவில் சர்வீஸ் தேர்வில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்று வெளியுறவுத் துறையில் பணியில் சேர்ந்தார். மேலும் ஆஸ்திரேலியாவிற்கான இந்திய தூதர், ஐக்கிய அரபு நாடுகள், ஆப்கானிஸ்தான், ஈரான், சவூதி அரேபியா போன்ற நாடுகளுக்கான இந்திய தூதர் ஆகிய பொறுப்புகளை வகித்து வந்தார். ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபைக்கான நிரந்த பிரதிநிதியாகவும் இருந்தார். தேசிய சிறுபான்மை ஆணையத்தின் தலைவராகவும் இருந்தார். இவருக்கு 1984ஆம் ஆண்டு பத்மஸ்ரீ விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது.

🌟 2004ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி கூகுளின் ஜிமெயில் மின்னஞ்சல் சேவை அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது - Google's Gmail email service was launched on April 1, 2004.

🌟 1957ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவில் நயா பைசா நாணயம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது - Naya Paisa was introduced in India on April 1, 1957.

🌟 1935ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி இந்திய ரிசர்வ் வங்கி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது - The Reserve Bank of India was established on April 1, 1935.

🌟 1815ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 1ஆம் தேதி ஜெர்மனியை ஒன்றிணைத்தவரும், இரும்புத் தலைவர் என்று போற்றப்பட்டவருமான ஆட்டோ வான் பிஸ்மார்க் பிரஷ்யாவின் ஷான்ஹாசன் நகரில் (தற்போது ஜெர்மனியில் உள்ளது) பிறந்தார் - Otto von Bismarck was born on April 1, 1815, in the town of Schnhausen, Prussia (Germany).
