✒️Mangal Pandey, considered by many to be the pioneer of the Indian uprising and the cause of the Sepoy Mutiny, was born on July 19, 1827 in Uttar Pradesh. He was the main reason for starting the Sepoy Mutiny in 1857. Mangal Pandey, who served as a soldier in the East India Company's 34th Regiment, started the Sepoy Mutiny. In which Mangal Pandey was arrested due to a mutiny among the officers of the East India Company and the 34th Regiment was disbanded. He was later sentenced to death for rebelling against the East India Company and was hanged on April 8, 1857. The film 'The Rising', depicting the history of Mangal Pandey, was released in 2005. The Government of India issued a postage stamp in 1984 in honor of Mangal Pandey.

✒️இந்தியர்களின் எழுச்சிக்கு முன்னோடியாக திகழ்ந்த மற்றும் சிப்பாய் கலகம் தோன்ற காரணமானவருமான மங்கள் பாண்டே 1827ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை 19ஆம் தேதி உத்தரப்பிரதேசத்தில் உள்ள நாக்வா என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். 1857ஆம் ஆண்டு சிப்பாய் கலகம் ஆரம்பிக்க முக்கிய காரணமாக இருந்தவர். கிழக்கிந்தியக் கம்பெனியின் 34வது ரெஜிமென்டில் படைவீரராக பணிபுரிந்த மங்கள் பாண்டே, சிப்பாய் கலகத்தை தொடங்கி வைத்தார். இதில் கிழக்கிந்தியக் கம்பெனியின் அலுவலர்களுக்குகிடையே ஏற்பட்ட கலகம் காரணமாக மங்கள் பாண்டே கைது செய்யப்பட்டு 34வது படைப்பிரிவு கலைக்கப்பட்டது. பிறகு கிழக்கிந்தியக் கம்பெனிக்கு எதிராக கிளர்ச்சியில் ஈடுபட்டமைக்காக மரணதண்டனை விதிக்கப்பட்டு 1857ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 8ஆம் தேதி தூக்கிலிடப்பட்டார். மங்கள் பாண்டேவின் வரலாற்றைச் சித்தரிக்கும் சில திரைப்படங்கள் வெளிவந்துள்ளன. "தி ரைசிங்" (The Rising) என்ற திரைப்படம் 2005ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்தது. இந்திய அரசு மங்கள் பாண்டே நினைவாக 1984ஆம் ஆண்டு அஞ்சல் தலையை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது.

✒️Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, the composer of Vande Mataram, was born on 27 June 1838 in Bengal. His first novel "Durgeshnandini" was published in 1865. He spread awareness and pride among people about our Tamil literature, language and history. Tagore called him the guru of Bengali writers and friend of Bengali readers Bankim. His novel "Anandamath", which featured the song "Vande Mataram", published in 1882, became famous throughout the country. Bankim Chandra Chatterjee, who awakened nationalism in the people through his works, died on 8th April 1894.

✒️வந்தே மாதரம் பாடலை இயற்றிய பங்கிம் சந்திர சட்டர்ஜி 1838ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 27ஆம் தேதி வங்காளத்தின் வடக்கு பர்கானாஸில் பிறந்தார். இவரது முதல் நாவலான துர்கேஷ் நந்தினி 1865ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்தது. நமது தமிழ் இலக்கியம், மொழி, வரலாறு குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வையும், பெருமிதத்தையும் மக்கள் மத்தியில் பரப்பினார். வங்காள எழுத்தாளர்களின் குரு, வங்க வாசகர்களின் நண்பர் பங்கிம் என்றெல்லாம் தாகூர் இவரை அழைப்பார். 1882ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த வந்தே மாதரம் பாடல் இடம்பெற்ற இவரது ஆனந்தமட் நாவல் நாடு முழுவதும் புகழ்பெற்றது. தனது படைப்புகள் வாயிலாக தேசிய உணர்வை மக்களிடம் எழுப்பிய பங்கிம் சந்திர சட்டர்ஜி 1894ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 8ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Picasso, the greatest painter of the 20th century, was born on October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain. He is widely known as the person who started Cubism along with Georges Braque. He was painting like a master at the age of seven, and before he turned fourteen he was well versed in traditional painting and realistic sculptures in plaster clay. During his lifetime, Picasso created more than five thousand works of art, including 1885 sculptures, 1228 paintings, 2880 ceramic sculptures, 12000 paintings and 12000 tapestries. It was Picasso who popularized the iconic dove and olive leaf. Picasso died on 8th April 1973 (today), holding an indelible place in history.
