The Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 :
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 4th february 1897, to provide for the better prevention of the spread of Dangerous Epidemic Diseases.
உலக புற்றுநோய் தினம் - World Cancer Day :
✒️World Cancer Day is observed on 4th February every year. This day is considered as the most important day in the medical world to raise awareness about cancer.
- ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் பிப்ரவரி 4ஆம் தேதி உலக புற்றுநோய் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது. புற்றுநோய் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் இந்த நாள் மருத்துவ உலகில் மிக முக்கியமான தினமாக பார்க்கப்படுகின்றது.
வீரமாமுனிவர் - Constantine Joseph Beschi (Viramamunivar) - Italian Jesuit Priest - Missionary in South India - Tamil Language Litterateur :
✒️Today is Veeramamunivar's memorial day!
✒️Veeramamunivar @ Constantine Joseph Beschi was a great Tamil scholar born on 8th November 1680 in Italy. Because of his love for Tamil he has changed his name from Constantine Joseph Beschi to Dhairiyanathan. Later he came to know that it was also Sanskrit and changed it to Veeramamunivar. In Tamil he has created grammar, literature, and dictionary. He translated Thirukkural into Latin and published Devaram, Thiruppukaz, Nannul and Aathichudi in various European languages. In his book Thonnool, he has interpreted and compiled the five grammars of writing, word, meaning, syllable, and arithmetic. In his book Kodunthamil Grammar, he described spoken Tamil for the first time in Tamil. His greatest poetical work is the "Tembavani" (The Unfading Garland), one of the Tamil classics. He has written 23 books in Tamil. He died on 4th February 1747. In 1968, the State of Tamil Nadu erected a statue for Beschi on the Marina beach in the city of Chennai as a recognition for his contribution to Tamil language and literature. - இன்று வீரமாமுனிவரின் நினைவு தினம் !
- மகத்தான தமிழ் அறிஞர் வீரமாமுனிவர் 1680ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 8ஆம் தேதி இத்தாலியில் பிறந்தார். கான்ஸ்டன்டைன் ஜோசப் பெஸ்கி என்ற தனது இயற்பெயரை முதலில் தைரியநாதன் என்றுதான் மாற்றிக் கொண்டார். பிறகு அதுவும் சமஸ்கிருதம் என்று அறிந்து வீரமாமுனிவர் என்று வைத்துக்கொண்டார்.
- இவர் இலக்கணம், இலக்கியம், அகராதி ஆகியவற்றைப் படைத்தார். திருக்குறளை லத்தீன் மொழியிலும் மற்றும் தேவாரம், திருப்புகழ், நன்னூல், ஆத்திச்சூடி ஆகியவற்றை பல்வேறு ஐரோப்பிய மொழிகளிலும் மொழிப்பெயர்த்து வெளியிட்டார்.
- தொன்னூல் விளக்கம் என்ற நூலில் எழுத்து, சொல், பொருள், யாப்பு, அணி ஆகிய ஐந்து இலக்கணங்களைத் தொகுத்தார். கொடுந்தமிழ் இலக்கணம் என்ற நூலில் தமிழில் முதன்முதலாகப் பேச்சுத்தமிழை விவரித்தார்.
- இவர் இயேசு காவியமான தேம்பாவணியை இயற்றியுள்ளார். இவர் தமிழில் 23 நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார் மற்றும் ஒன்பது மொழிகளிலும் புலமை பெற்றவர். பெயராலும், பண்பாட்டாலும் தமிழராகவே வாழ்ந்த வீரமாமுனிவர் 1747ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 4ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
சத்தியேந்திர நாத் போஸ் - Satyendra Nath Bose - Indian Mathematician and Physicist :
✒️Today is Satyendra Nath Bose's memorial day!
✒️Indian Physicist Satyendra Nath Bose was born on January 1, 1894 in Kolkata. He is known for his research in the field of quantum mechanics in the 1920s, and through it theories such as Bose-Einstein concentration and Bose-Einstein statistics. Paul Dirac, a Nobel laureate in physics, was named bose's name to the boson particle. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India in 1954 in recognition of his contribution to science. He died on February 4, 1974. - இன்று இவரின் நினைவு தினம் !
- இந்திய இயற்பியலாளர் சத்தியேந்திர நாத் போஸ் 1894ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 1ஆம் தேதி கல்கத்தாவில் பிறந்தார். இவர் இரசாயனம், புவியியல், விலங்கியல், மனித விஞ்ஞானம், உயிரின ரசாயனம், பொறியியல் ஆகிய துறைகளில் வல்லமை பெற்றவர்.
- இவர் 1924ஆம் ஆண்டு மாக்ஸ் பிளாங்கின் விதி (Max Plank's Law), ஒளித்துகள் கோட்பாடு (Light Quantum Hypothesis) பற்றியும் ஆய்வு செய்து கட்டுரை எழுதி ஐன்ஸ்டீனுக்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார். அந்த கட்டுரைக்கு மேலும் விரிவாக விளக்கம் அளித்து அவரே ஜெர்மன் இயற்பியல் அமைப்பிற்கு அனுப்பி வைத்தார்.
- போஸான் (Boson) என்னும் புதிய அடிப்படைத் துகள் (Fundamental Particle) பிரிவை கண்டுபிடித்தார். மேலும் இவருடைய ஆய்விலிருந்து போஸ்-ஐன்ஸ்டைன் செறிபொருள், போஸ்-ஐன்ஸ்டைன் புள்ளியியல் போன்ற கோட்பாடுகளையும் வெளியிட்டார்.
- 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு இயற்பியல் விஞ்ஞானத்தில் இவர் ஆற்றிய பணிக்காக பத்ம விபூஷண் விருது வழங்கப்பட்டது. மேலும் ஏராளமான பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் இவருக்கு டாக்டர் பட்டம் வழங்கியுள்ளது. விஞ்ஞான உலகில் பேரும் புகழும் பெற்ற இவர் 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 4ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
