The National Cadet Corps Act, 1948 :
✒️It was enacted and enforced on 16th April 1948, to provide for the constitution of a National Cadet Corps.
- NCC cadets have played an important role over the years in relief efforts during various emergency situations.During the ongoing pandemic, over 60,000 NCC cadets have been deployed for voluntary relief work in coordination with district and state authorities across the country.
உலக குரல் தினம் - World Voice Day :
✒️World Voice Day is observed on 16th April every year. It was first launched in 1999 by the Brazilian Society of Laryngology & Voice, with the aim of demonstrating the immense importance of the voice in the daily lives of all people.
- ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஏப்ரல் 16ஆம் தேதி உலக குரல் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. குரல் என்பது அனைத்து மக்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்க்கையிலும் ஒரு மகத்தான முக்கியத்துவத்தை நிரூபிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தில், பிரேசிலியன் காது மூக்கு தொண்டை மற்றும் குரல் சங்கத்தால் 1999ஆம் ஆண்டு முதன்முதலாக இத்தினம் தொடங்கப்பட்டது.

✒️Kandukuri Veeresalingam, the great social reformer and author of the first novel in Telugu, was born on 16 April 1848 in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh. His full name is Kandukuri Veeresalingam Panthulu. He opposed caste systems, child marriages and the practice of marrying young women in old age. He strove for the upliftment of the lower castes and for women's education. He conducted widow marriage in India in 1887. "Rajasekhara Charitramu", the novel written by him, was the first novel written in Telugu. Kandukuri Veeresalingam, the great poet of Telugu literature and the prophet of modern Andhra, passed away on 27th May 1919.
✒️தலைசிறந்த சமூக சீர்திருத்தவாதியும், தெலுங்கின் முதல் நாவலை எழுதியவருமான கந்துகூரி வீரேசலிங்கம் (Kandukuri Veeresalingam) 1848ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 16ஆம் தேதி ஆந்திரப்பிரதேசம் ராஜமுந்திரியில் பிறந்தார். இவரது முழுப்பெயர் கந்துகூரி வீரேசலிங்கம் பந்துலு.
- இவர் ஜாதி அமைப்புகளை, குழந்தைத் திருமணங்களை, முதிய வயதில் இளம் பெண்ணை மணக்கும் வழக்கங்களை எதிர்த்தார். கீழ்த்தட்டு மக்களின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்காகவும், பெண் கல்விக்காகவும் பாடுபட்டார்.
- இந்தியாவில் விதவைத் திருமணத்தை 1887ஆம் ஆண்டு நடத்தி வைத்தார். இவர் எழுதிய ராஜசேகரா சரித்ரா என்ற நாவல் தெலுங்கில் எழுதப்பட்ட முதல் நாவல்.
- தெலுங்கு இலக்கியத்தின் மகத்தான கவிஞர், நவீன ஆந்திரத்தின் தீர்க்கதரிசி கந்துகூரி வீரேசலிங்கம் 1919ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 27ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

சார்லஸ் சாப்ளின் - Charles Spencer Chaplin (Charlie Chaplin) - English Comic Actor - Director - Composer - Producer & Famous Personality in the Era of Silent Movies :
✒️Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, who brought hope to the world through comedy, was born on April 16, 1889 in Walworth, London. The turning point in his life was a trip to America in 1912 by a theater troupe in London. Later, the producer of Key Stone Cinemas joined him in his company. His first silent film, Making a Living, was released in 1914. He acted in 35 films in a single year. All were successful. In 1936, the era of talking films began. He produced a talkie called Modern Times. In this he acted without speaking. He is a two-time Oscar winner. He who made the world laugh passed away on December 25, 1977.
✒️உலகிற்கே நம்பிக்கையை நகைச்சுவை வழியாக தந்த சர் சார்லஸ் ஸ்பென்ஸர் சாப்ளின் 1889ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 16ஆம் தேதி லண்டனில் உள்ள வால்வோர்த் என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- 1912ஆம் ஆண்டு லண்டன் நகரில் உள்ள நாடகக் குழு மூலமாக சென்ற அமெரிக்கப் பயணம் இவரது வாழ்வில் திருப்புமுனையாக அமைந்தது.
- பிறகு இவரை கீ ஸ்டோன் சினிமா நிறுவனத் தயாரிப்பாளர் தனது நிறுவனத்தில் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டார். இவர் நடித்த முதல் மௌனத் திரைப்படம் மேக்கிங் ஏ லிவிங் (Making a Living) 1914ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்தது.
- ஒரே வருடத்தில் 35 திரைப்படங்களில் நடித்தார். அனைத்துமே சாதனை படைத்தன. 1936ஆம் ஆண்டு பேசும் படக்காலம் தொடங்கியது. மாடர்ன் டைம்ஸ் (Modern Times) என்ற பேசும் படத்தை தயாரித்தார். இதில் இவர் பேசாமல்தான் நடித்தார்.
- இரண்டு முறை ஆஸ்கர் சிறப்பு விருதுகளை வென்றுள்ளார். உலகையே சிரிக்க வைத்த இவர் 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 25ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟1853ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 16ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவின் முதலாவது பயணிகள் தொடருந்து சேவை பம்பாயில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது - India's first passenger train service was launched at Bombay on April 16, 1853.
🌟1966ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 16ஆம் தேதி முதலாவது உலகத் தமிழாராய்ச்சி மாநாடு கோலாலம்பூரில் ஆரம்பமானது - The first World Tamil Research Conference started on April 16, 1966 in Kuala Lumpur.
