பாதுகாப்பான தாய்மைக்கான தேசிய தினம் - National Safe Motherhood Day :
✒️April 11 is observed as National Safe Motherhood Day, which aims to emphasize that women should have adequate access and safety during pregnancy, delivery and post-natal services.
✒️ஏப்ரல் 11 ஆம் தேதி பாதுகாப்பான தாய்மைக்கான தேசிய தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது, இது கர்ப்பகால பிரசவம் மற்றும் பிரசவத்திற்குப் பிந்தைய சேவைகளின் போது பெண்களுக்கு கிடைக்கவேண்டிய பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் போதுமான அணுகல் இருக்க வேண்டும் என்பதை வலியுறுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு இந்நாள் அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
உலக பார்க்கின்சன் தினம் - World Parkinson's Day :
✒️World Parkinson's Day is observed annually on April 11, James Parkinson's birthday. This event is being observed to create awareness among the public about Parkinson's disease which causes neurological damage including hand tremors. James Parkinson was born on April 11, 1755 in London, the capital of England. He was the first to explain Parkinson's disease, its symptoms and consequences. He identified it as central nervous system disease. He named this disease 'Paralysis Agitans', 'Shaking Palsy'. It later became known as 'Parkinson's disease' after him. James Parkinson, who was involved in many completely different fields and made significant contributions to them, died on 21st December 1824.
✒️ஆண்டுதோறும் ஜேம்ஸ் பார்க்கின்சன் பிறந்த தினமான ஏப்ரல் 11ஆம் தேதி, உலக பார்க்கின்சன் தினமாக கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. கை நடுக்கம் உள்ளிட்ட நரம்பியல் பாதிப்பு ஏற்படும் பார்க்கின்சன் என்னும் நோய் குறித்து பொதுமக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தும் வகையில் இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. ஜேம்ஸ் பார்க்கின்சன் 1755ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 11ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்தின் தலைநகர் லண்டனில் பிறந்தார். இவர்தான் பார்க்கின்சன் நோய், அதன் அறிகுறிகள், விளைவுகள் குறித்து முதல்முறையாக விளக்கினார். இது மத்திய நரம்பு மண்டல நோய் என்பதை அடையாளம் கண்டார். இந்த நோய்க்கு பக்கவாத நடுக்கம் (Paralysis Agitans), முடக்குவாத நடுக்கம் (Shaking Palsy) என்று பெயரிட்டார். பின்னாளில் இது 'பார்க்கின்சன் நோய்" என்று இவரது பெயரிலேயே குறிப்பிடப்படுகிறது. முற்றிலும் மாறுபட்ட பல துறைகளில் ஈடுபட்டு, அவற்றில் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க பங்களிப்புகளை வழங்கிய ஜேம்ஸ் பார்க்கின்சன் 1824ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 21ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
ஜோதிராவ் புலே - Jyotirao Govindrao Phule - Social Activist - Thinker - Anti-Caste Social Reformer and Writer :
✒️Jyotirao Govindarao Phule, hailed as the father of Indian Social Revolution, was born on April 11, 1827 in Maharashtra. He was the first to call for equality and protection of human rights. Realizing that education was the solution to everything, he started a school for girls in 1842. He started the Satyashodhak Samaj (Society of Truth Seekers) in 1873. In recognition of his 40 years of social service, he was awarded the title of 'Mahatma' at a public meeting held in Pune in 1888. Jyothirao Govindrao Phule, who was an inspiration to social revolutionaries including Dr. Ambedkar, Rajaram Mohan Roy, died on 28 November 1890.
✒️இந்திய சமூகப் புரட்சியின் தந்தை என்று போற்றப்பட்ட ஜோதிராவ் கோவிந்தராவ் புலே 1827ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 11ஆம் தேதி மகாராஷ்டிர மாநிலத்தில் பிறந்தார். சமத்துவம், மனித உரிமைகள் பாதுகாக்கப்பட வேண்டும் என்று முதன்முதலாக முழங்கினார். கல்விதான் அனைத்திற்கும் தீர்வு என்பதை உணர்ந்து, 1842ஆம் ஆண்டு மகளிருக்கான பள்ளியை தொடங்கினார். இவர் சத்ய ஷோதக் சமாஜ் என்ற அமைப்பை 1873ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கினார். இவரது 40 ஆண்டுகால சமூக சேவையைப் பாராட்டி புனேயில் 1888ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த பொதுக்கூட்டத்தில் இவருக்கு 'மகாத்மா" பட்டம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர், ராஜாராம் மோகன் ராய் உள்ளிட்ட சமூகப் புரட்சியாளர்களுக்கு உத்வேக சக்தியாக திகழ்ந்த ஜோதிராவ் கோவிந்தராவ் புலே 1890ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

கஸ்தூரிபாய் காந்தி - Kasturbai Mohandas Gandhi - Independence & Political Activist :
✒️Mahatma Gandhi's wife Kasturbai, who worked with her husband for the national fast, was born on April 11, 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat. He stayed in the Sabarmati Ashram during the Indian Liberation War in 1915 and took great interest in the Indian Liberation Movement. Kasturbai Gandhi was arrested along with Gandhi who was arrested during the Quit India Movement (1942). The great leader of many nonviolence movements, Kasturbai Gandhi died on 22 February 1944.
✒️தன் கணவர் ஏற்ற தேசிய விரதத்திற்காக தானும் உடன் உழைத்த மகாத்மா காந்தியின் மனைவி கஸ்தூரிபாய் 1869ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 11ஆம் தேதி குஜராத் மாநிலத்திலுள்ள போர்பந்தர் எனும் ஊரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 1915ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்திய விடுதலை போரில் சபர்மதி ஆசிரமத்தில் தங்கி இந்திய விடுதலை இயக்கத்தில் மிகுந்த ஈடுபாட்டுடன் கலந்து கொண்டார். வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு போராட்டத்தின் போது (1942) கைது செய்யப்பட்ட காந்தியுடன் கஸ்தூரிபாய் காந்தியும் கைதானார். பல அறப்போராட்டங்களை தலைமை தாங்கி நடத்திய பெருமைமிகு கஸ்தூரிபாய் காந்தி 1944ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 22ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
