✒️It was enacted on 16th February 1976 and came into force on 1st April 1976, to provide for the establishment, in the interest of the general public, of a fund to ensure that the price of levy sugar may be uniform throughout India and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

எர்ன்ஸ்ட் ஹேக்கல் - Ernst Heinrich Philipp August Haeckel - German Zoologist - Naturalist - Philosopher -  Physician - Professor - Marine Biologist and Artist :

✒️Ernst Haeckel, who contributed in many fields as a scientist, philosopher and painter, was born on February 16, 1834 in Potsdam, Germany. He graduated in medicine in 1857 and worked as a doctor. A turning point in his life came after reading Darwin's "On the Origin of Species". Later he became interested in biology and in 1861 he received his doctorate in zoology. He was engaged in various researches on living things. He met Darwin in 1866 when he visited the Canary Islands. He traveled to many countries and discovered and named thousands of new species. He created a racial hierarchy that includes all living things. Wrote 'Art Forms in Nature' with details on various types of living things. He has written more than 40 books. He was the first to divide organisms into unicellular and multicellular organisms. He divided man into 10 races and explained the reason. He has written in detail in the book 'The History of Creation' that Indian subcontinent is the birthplace of mankind. Such a great naturalist was died on 9th August 1919.

• அறிவியலாளர், தத்துவமேதை, ஓவியர் என பலதுறைகளில் தனது பங்களிப்பை சிறப்பாக தந்த எர்ன்ஸ்ட் ஹேக்கல் 1834ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 16ஆம் தேதி ஜெர்மனியிலுள்ள பிரஷ்யாவின் போட்ஸ்டம் நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் 1857ஆம் ஆண்டு மருத்துவத்தில் பட்டம் பெற்று, மருத்துவராகப் பணிபுரிந்து வந்தார். ஆன் தி ஆரிஜின் ஆஃப் ஸ்பீசீஸ் என்ற டார்வின் எழுதிய நூலை படித்த பிறகு இவரது வாழ்வில் திருப்புமுனை அமைந்தது. பின்பு உயிரியலில் ஆர்வம் வந்து, 1861ஆம் ஆண்டு விலங்கியலில் முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றார். உயிரினங்கள் குறித்த பல்வேறு ஆராய்ச்சிகளில் ஈடுபட்டார். 1866ஆம் ஆண்டு கேனரி தீவுகளுக்கு சென்றபோது டார்வினை சந்தித்தார். இவர் பல நாடுகளுக்குப் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டு, ஆயிரக்கணக்கான புதிய உயிரினங்களைக் கண்டறிந்து பெயர் சூட்டினார். எல்லா உயிரினங்களையும் உள்ளடக்கிய இனவழிப் படிவரிசையை உருவாக்கினார். பல வகையான உயிரினங்கள் குறித்த விவரங்களுடன் 'ஆர்ட் ஃபாம்ஸ் இன் நேச்சர்"(Art Forms in Nature) என்ற நூலை எழுதினார். இவர் 40-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். இவர் தான் முதலில் உயிரினங்களை ஒரு செல் உயிரி, பல செல் உயிரி என பிரித்தவர். மனிதரை 10 இனங்களாகப் பிரித்து, அதற்கான காரணத்தை விளக்கினார்.  'இந்திய துணைக் கண்டம்தான் மனிதகுலத்தின் பிறப்பிடம்" என்று 'தி ஹிஸ்ட்ரி ஆஃப் கிரியேஷன்" (The History of Creation) என்ற நூலில் விரிவாக எழுதியுள்ள இவர் 1919ஆம் ஆண்டு  ஆகஸ்ட் 9ந்தேதி மறைந்தார்.

தாதாசாஹேப் பால்கே - Dhundiraj Govind Phalke (Popularly known as Dadasaheb Phalke) - Indian Producer - Director - Screenwriter (known as "the Father of Indian Cinema") :

✒️Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, was born on 30th April 1870 in Nashik, Maharashtra. His birth name is Dhundiraj Govind Phalke. He is multi-talented and has set his ambition to make films. Since he is the only person who knows about cinema, he handled everything like writing, directing and camera. In 1913, he released 'Raja Harishchandra', India's first full-length film, and became the first person to introduce cinema to India. He started Hindustan Film Company. In his film career, he has produced many films and some short films including 'Mohini Bhasmasur', 'Satyavan Savitri', 'Lanka Dahan'. He dedicated his entire life to the film industry and died on 16th February 1944 (today). Since 1969, the Government of India has been awarding an award in his name in the film industry to honor his memory.

• இந்திய திரையுலகின் தந்தை தாதாசாஹேப் பால்கே 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 30ஆம் தேதி மகாராஷ்டிர மாநிலம் நாசிக்கில் பிறந்தார். இவரது இயற்பெயர் துண்டிராஜ் கோவிந்த் பால்கே. பன்முகத்திறன் கொண்ட இவர், திரைப்படம் எடுப்பதை தன் லட்சியமாக வகுத்துக்கொண்டார். சினிமா பற்றி தெரிந்தவர் இவர் ஒருவர்தான் என்பதால் எழுத்து, இயக்கம், கேமரா என எல்லாவற்றையும் அவரே மேற்கொண்டார். 1913ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவின் முதல் முழுநீளத் திரைப்படம் ராஜா ஹரிச்சந்திராவை வெளியிட்டு இந்தியாவில் சினிமாவை அறிமுகப்படுத்திய முதல் நபர் என்ற பெருமையைப் பெற்றார். ஹிந்துஸ்தான் பிலிம் கம்பெனியை தொடங்கினார். தனது சினிமா வாழ்க்கையில் மோஹினி பஸ்மாசுர், சத்யவான் சாவித்ரி, லங்கா தஹன் உள்ளிட்ட பல திரைப்படங்கள் மற்றும் சில குறும்படங்களை தயாரித்துள்ளார். தன் வாழ்நாள் முழுவதையும் திரைப்படத்துறைக்காகவே அர்ப்பணித்த இவர் 1944ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 16ந் தேதி (இன்றைய நாளில்) மறைந்தார். இவரது நினைவைப் போற்றும் வகையில், திரைத்துறையில் இந்திய அரசு 1969ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் ஆண்டுதோறும் இவரது பெயரில் விருதை வழங்கி வருகிறது.

🌟வாலஸ் எச்.காரோதர்ஸ், பிப்ரவரி 16, 1937 இல் நைலானுக்கு காப்புரிமை பெற்றார் - Wallace H.Carothers, received a patent for nylon in February 16, 1937.
