The Biological Diversity Act, 2002 :

✒️It was enacted on 5th February 2003 and came into force on 1st October 2003, to provide for conservation of biological diversity, sustainable use of its components and fair and equitable sharing of the benefits arising out of use of biological resources, knowledge and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

John Boyd Dunlop - Inventor

ஜான் பாய்ட் டன்லப் - John Boyd Dunlop - Scottish Inventor :

✒️The veterinarian, Automotive tyre inventor John Boyd Dunlop was born on 5th February 1840 in Scotland. On rough roads he saw horses struggling to pull heavy loads with a collar made of thick rubber. He was thinking if air cushions could be used instead to reduce their difficulty. At the same time in 1887 his son asked for a way to ride his bicycle without difficulty on a cobbled road. He also went down to test whether he could help his son. He cut an old pipe from the garden, made a tube, filled it with air and attached it to the rear wheel of the bicycle and finds Cycling was easy and thereafter he Improved the same and patented it in Britain in 1888. It was already discovered in 1845 by Robert William Thompson. It went unnoticed because it was not popular. Willie Hume, an entrepreneur who knew that a competitor who used Boyd's bicycle in a competition had won, co-founded a tyre company called Dunlop. John Boyd Dunlop, who revolutionized road transport due to the formation of many factories was died on 23rd October 1921.

வாகன டயர் கண்டுபிடிப்பாளரான ஜான் பாய்ட் டன்லப் 1840ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 5ஆம் தேதி ஸ்காட்லாந்தில் பிறந்தார். இவர் ஒரு கால்நடை மருத்துவர் ஆவார். குதிரைகள் கரடு முரடான சாலைகளில், கெட்டியான ரப்பரால் தயாரிக்கப்பட்ட கழுத்துப் பட்டையுடன் மிகவும் கனமான சுமைகளை கஷ்டப்பட்டு இழுத்து வருவதைப் பார்த்தார். அவற்றின் கஷ்டத்தை குறைக்க காற்று அடைக்கப்பட்ட குஷன்களை அதற்கு பதிலாக பயன்படுத்த முடியுமா என்று யோசித்துக் கொண்டு இருந்தார். அதே சமயத்தில் 1887ஆம் ஆண்டு அவருடைய மகன் தன் சைக்கிளை கற்கள் நிறைந்த சாலையில் கஷ்டம் இல்லாமல் ஓட்டுவதற்கு வழி கேட்டான், மகனுக்கு உதவ முடியுமா என்று சோதனையில் இறங்கிவிட்டார். தோட்டத்தில் இருந்த பழைய குழாயை வெட்டி ட்யூப் தயாரித்து அதில் காற்றை நிரப்பி சைக்கிளின் பின்பக்கச் சக்கரத்தோடு இணைத்தார். சைக்கிள் ஓட்டுவதற்கு எளிதாக இருந்தது. அதை மேம்படுத்தி 1888ஆம் ஆண்டு பிரிட்டனில் அதற்கான காப்புரிமையைப் பெற்றார். ஏற்கனவே 1845ஆம் ஆண்டிலேயே ராபர்ட் தாம்சன் இதைக் கண்டுபிடித்திருந்தார், பிரபலமாகாததால் அது யாருக்கும் தெரியாமல் போய்விட்டது. ஒரு போட்டியில் இந்த மிதிவண்டியைப் பயன்படுத்திய போட்டியாளர் வெற்றி பெற்றதை அறிந்த வில்லியம் ஹியூம் என்ற தொழிலதிபர் இவருடன் சேர்ந்து டன்லப் என்ற டயர் நிறுவனத்தை உருவாக்கினார்கள். பல தொழிற்சாலைகள் உருவாவதற்கு காரணமாக இருந்து சாலைப் போக்குவரத்தில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்திய ஜான் டன்லப் 1921ஆம் ஆண்டு, அக்டோபர் 23ந் தேதி தனது 81வது வயதில் மறைந்தார்.

🌟 இந்திய கவிஞர் கே.எஸ் நிசார் அகமது 1936 பிப்ரவரி 5ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார். இவர் கர்நாடகாவின் பெங்களூரில் உள்ள தேவனஹள்ளியில் பிறந்தார் - Indian poet K.S.Nissar Ahmed was born on 5th February 1936 in Devanahalli, Bangalore, Karnataka.

🌟 அப்பல்லோ 14 விண்கலம் அலன் செப்பர்ட், எட்கார் மிட்ச்செல் ஆகியோருடன் சந்திரனில் 1971, பிப்ரவரி 5 ஆம் நாள் அன்று தரையிறங்கியது - Apollo 14 landed on the moon on 5th February, 1971 with Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell aboard.

🌟உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற போர்ச்சுகல் கால்பந்து வீரர் கிறிஸ்டியானோ ரொனால்டோ (5/2/1985) மற்றும் பிரேசிலிய கால்பந்து வீரர் நெய்மர் (5/2/1992) இருவரும் இன்று பிறந்தனர் - World famous Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (5/2/1985) and Brazilian footballer Neymar (5/2/1992) both were born today.
