The Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act, 2006 :

✒️It was enacted and Enforced on 3rd January 2007, to provide for the reservation in admission of the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and the Other Backward Classes of citizens, to certain Central Educational Institutions established, maintained or aided by the Central Government, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The Commission of Sati (Prevention ) Act, 1987 :

✒️It was enacted on 3rd January 1988 and came into force on 21st March 1988, to provide for the more effective prevention of the commission of sati and its glorification and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

சர்வதேச மன-உடல் ஆரோக்கிய தினம் - International Mind-Body Wellness Day :

✒️International Mind-Body Wellness Day is celebrated annually on 3rd January to promote holistic health and balance between mind and body.

• மனம் மற்றும் உடலுக்கு இடையே முழுமையான ஆரோக்கியம் மற்றும் சமநிலையை மேம்படுத்துவதற்காக ஆண்டுதோறும் ஜனவரி 3 ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச மன-உடல் ஆரோக்கிய தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன் - Veerapandiya Kattabomman - Freedom Fighter - 18th Century Tamil Palayakarrar :

✒️Kattabomman, the Palayakkara king who fought against the British, was born on January 3, 1760 in Panchalankurichi. The British government decided to collect taxes from the villagers to maintain their rule. The British commander who collected taxes in the area could not collect taxes from Kattabomman. In 1797 British General Allen came with a large force to fight Kattabomman. Unable to demolish the fort, he ran away. Then Tirunelveli Collector Jackson invited Kattabomman to come and meet him. But Jackson, who asked Kattabomman to come to different places instead of meeting at a specific place, finally met at Ramanathapuram. Then, they tried to arrest Kattabomman. Kattabomman overcame it and returned safely to Panchalankurichi. During that meeting, Jackson urged him to pay taxes. Kattabomman boldly told him that we are independent kings, we don't need to pay tax to you. Seeing his bravery, all the surrounding villagers opposed the British. He was finally interrogated at Kayathar. He was hanged on 16th October, 1799 in kayathar, who is a symbol of valor even after many centuries.

• ஆங்கிலேயரை எதிர்த்துப் போராடிய பாளையக்கார மன்னர் வீரபாண்டிய கட்டபொம்மன் 1760ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3ஆம் தேதி பாஞ்சாலங்குறிச்சியில் பிறந்தார்.

• பிரிட்டிஷ் அரசு தன்னுடைய ஆட்சியை நிலைநாட்டுவதற்காக,பாளையக்காரர்களிடமிருந்து வரி வசூலிக்க முடிவு செய்தது. அப்பகுதியில் வரி வசூலிக்கும் ஆங்கிலேயத் தளபதியால் கட்டபொம்மனிடமிருந்து வரி வசூலிக்க முடியவில்லை. 1797ஆம் ஆண்டு கட்டபொம்மனுடன் போரிட பெரும்படையுடன் ஆங்கிலேயத் தளபதி ஆலன் வந்தார். கோட்டையைத் தகர்க்க முடியாமல் தோற்று ஓடினார். பின்பு நெல்லை கலெக்டர் ஜாக்ஸன் தன்னை வந்து சந்திக்குமாறு அழைத்தார்.

• ஆனால் குறிப்பிட்ட இடத்தில் சந்திக்காமல் வெவ்வேறு இடங்களுக்கு கட்டபொம்மனை வரச் சொல்லிய ஜாக்ஸன், இறுதியாக ராமநாதபுரத்தில் சந்தித்தார். அப்போது, கட்டபொம்மனை கைது செய்ய முயற்சித்தனர். கட்டபொம்மன் அதை முறியடித்து, பத்திரமாக பாஞ்சாலங்குறிச்சிக்கு திரும்பினார்.

• அந்த சந்திப்பின்போது, வரி செலுத்துமாறு ஜாக்ஸன் இவரிடம் வலியுறுத்தினார். உங்களுக்கு வரிசெலுத்தும் அவசியம் எங்களுக்கு இல்லை. நாங்கள் சுதந்திர மன்னர்கள் என்று கட்டபொம்மன் துணிச்சலாக அவரிடம் கூறினார். இவரது வீரத்தைப் பார்த்து, சுற்றியுள்ள அனைத்துப் பாளையக்காரர்களும் ஆங்கிலேயரை எதிர்த்தார்கள்.

• இறுதியாக கயத்தாறு என்ற இடத்தில் அவர்மீது விசாரணை நடத்தப்பட்டது. பல நூற்றாண்டுகள் கடந்தும் வீரத்தின் அடையாளமாகத் திகழும் இவர் 1799ஆம் ஆண்டு கயத்தாறில் தூக்கிலிடப்பட்டார்.

VELU NACHIYAR - QUEEN

வேலு நாச்சியார் - Rani Velu Nachiyar - Queen :

✒️Velu Nachiyar, a brave woman who defeated the British with her bravery, was born on January 3, 1730, the daughter of King Chellamuthu Vijayaragunatha Sethupathi and Sakkanthi Muthatthal Nachiyar in Ramanathapuram. She learned all skills like education, sports, Silambam, swordsmanship, javelin throwing, archery, horsemanship and elephant riding. At the age of 16, she married King Muthu Vaduganathar of Sivagangai Seemai and became the titular queen. As Muthu Vaduganathar refused to pay kappam (entitlement amount) to the Nawab of Arcot, the Nawab of Arcot was very angry with him. The Nawab with the help of the British forces, suddenly surrounded and attacked King Muthu Vaduganathar while he was worshiping at the Kalaiyar temple, in which he died. Velu nachiyar, distraught at the news of her husband's death, planned to take revenge on the Nawab. But she was pregnant at the time. As a result, she gave up the practice Sati and fled to Melur and alongwith Chinna Marudhu and Periya Marudhu, she sought the help of Hyder Ali. After a few years, Velu nachiar devised strategies on how to attack and defeat the British. In 1780 Hyder Ali's army, equipped with modern weapons, entered the palace along with his women's army and captured the fort in a surprise attack. The 'Bravegirl' was 50 years old when this historic victory was achieved. She is the only queen in the history of Indian freedom struggle who defeated the British and crowned her. The British flag was lowered and the Hanuman flag was hoisted. Velu Nachiyar, the heroine who sparked the revolution against the British in India, died in 1796. A postage stamp in her name was issued in 2008 to honor Velu Nachiyar.

• வீரத்தால் ஆங்கிலேயரை வெற்றிகொண்ட வீரப் பெண்மணி வேலு நாச்சியார் 1730ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3ஆம் தேதி, மன்னர் செல்லமுத்து விஜயரகுநாத சேதுபதி மற்றும் சக்கந்தி முத்தாத்தாள் நாச்சியார் ஆகியோருக்கு மகளாக, ராமநாதபுரத்தை அடுத்த சக்கந்தி என்ற ஊரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் கல்வி, விளையாட்டு, சிலம்பம், வாள்வீச்சு, ஈட்டி எறிதல், அம்பு விடுதல், குதிரையேற்றம், யானையேற்றம் என அனைத்து திறன்களையும் கற்றுத் தேர்ந்தார். சிவகங்கைச் சீமையின் மன்னர் முத்து வடுகநாதரை 16-வது வயதில் மணந்து, பட்டத்து ராணியானார். ஆற்காடு நவாப்புக்கு முத்து வடுகநாதத் தேவர் கப்பம் கட்ட மறுத்து வந்ததால், அவர் மீது கடும் கோபத்தில் இருந்தார் ஆற்காடு நவாப். ஆங்கிலேயப் படைகளின் உதவியுடன் காளையார்கோவிலில் வழிபாடு செய்துகொண்டிருந்தபோது மன்னர் முத்து வடுகநாதத்தேவரை திடீரென்று சுற்று வளைத்து தாக்கினான் நவாப். அதில் அவர் இறந்தார், கணவர் இறந்த செய்தி கேட்டு துடித்த வேலுநாச்சியார், நவாப்பை பழிக்கு பழிவாங்க எண்ணினார். அந்த நேரத்தில் அவர் கர்ப்பமுற்றிருந்தார். இதனால் மன்னர் முத்து வடுகநாதத்தேவருடன் உடன்கட்டை ஏறும் பழக்தை கைவிட்டு சிவகங்கை சீமையின் தளபதிகளான சின்ன மருது, பெரிய மருது ஆகியோரின் துணையுடன் மேலூருக்கு தப்பிச் சென்று ஹைதர் அலியின் உதவியை நாடினார். சில ஆண்டுகாலம் கழித்து ஆங்கிலேயரை தாக்க உரிய நேரம் பார்த்து, ஆங்கிலேயர்களை எப்படி தாக்கி வீழ்த்த வேண்டும் என்ற உத்திகளை வேலுநாச்சியார் வகுத்து, நவீன ஆயுதங்களை கொண்டிருந்த ஹைதர் அலியின் படையை 1780-ல்  தலைமை ஏற்று  அவரது மகளிர் படையுடன் அரண்மனைக்குள் புகுந்து, திடீர் தாக்குதல் நடத்தி கோட்டையைக் கைப்பற்றினர். சரித்திரப் புகழ்வாய்ந்த இந்த வெற்றி கிடைத்தப்போது இந்த வீரமங்கைக்கு 50 வயது. இந்திய சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வரலாற்றிலேயே ஆங்கிலேயரை வென்று முடிசூடிய ஒரே ராணி இவர்தான். ஆங்கிலேயரின் கொடி இறக்கப்பட்டு அனுமன் கொடி ஏற்றப்பட்டது. இந்தியாவில் ஆங்கிலேயருக்கு எதிரான புரட்சிக்கு வித்திட்ட வீராங்கனை வேலு நாச்சியார் 1796ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்தார். வேலுநாச்சியாரை பெருமைபடுத்தும் வகையில் அவரது பெயரில் 2008-ல் தபால் தலை வெளியிடப்பட்டது.

🌟இரண்டாம் உலக தமிழ் மாநாடு : முன்னாள் முதல்வர் பேரறிஞர் அண்ணா அவர்கள் தலைமையில், 1968ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3ஆம் தேதி முதல் 10ஆம் தேதி வரை இரண்டாம் உலக தமிழ் மாநாடு நடைபெற்றது - The Second World Tamil Conference was held from 3rd to 10th January 1968 under the leadership of former Chief Minister Anna.

🌟சமூக சீர்திருத்தவாதியும்,கல்வியாளரும், கவிஞருமான சாவித்ரிபாய் புலே 1831-ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3-ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார் - Social reformer, Educationalist and Poet Savitribai Phule was born on 3rd January 1831.

🌟முதல் எலக்ட்ரானிக் கடிகாரத்தை ஹமில்ட்டன் வாட்ச் கம்பெனி, 1957ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3ஆம் தேதி அறிமுகப்படுத்தியது - The first electronic watch was introduced by the Hamilton Watch Company on 3rd January, 1957.

🌟 ஆப்பிள் கணினி நிறுவனம் 1977ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 3ஆம் தேதி அமைக்கப்பட்டது - Apple Computer Company was incorporated on January 3, 1977.

🌟 வில்லியம் வில்சன் மோர்கன், அமெரிக்க வானியலாளர் மற்றும் வானியல் இயற்பியலாளர், பால்வீதி விண்மீனின் சுழல் அமைப்பைக் கண்டுபிடித்தவர், ஜனவரி 3, 1906 இல் பிறந்தார் - William Wilson Morgan, American Astronomer and Astrophysicist, discoverer of the spiral structure of the Milky, was born on 3rd January 1906.
