The Patents Act, 1970 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th September 1970 & came into force on 1st April 1978, to amend and consolidate the law relating to patents.


The Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2007 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th September 2007 & came into force on 25th October 2010, to make provisions for the development and regulation of warehouses, negotiability of warehouse receipts, establishment of a Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.


The Post Office Cash Certificates Act, 1917:

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 19th September 1917, to restrict the transfer of Post Office 5-Year Cash Certificates and to provide for the payment of Certificates standing in the name of deceased persons.


Sunita Williams - Astronaut

சுனிதா வில்லியம்ஸ் - Sunita Williams - Astronaut :

✒️Indian-origin American astronaut Sunita Williams was born on 19 September 1965 in Euclid, USA. She joined the U.S.Navy as a junior officer in 1987 and became a naval pilot in 2 years. She was launched to the International Space Station on December 9, 2006 aboard the Discovery spacecraft. During the travel she took the Bhagavad Gita, Ganesha statue and some samosas into space. Sunita was the first person to run a marathon in space. she cuts her hair while running in space. She has received various awards like Padma Bhushan, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Viswa Pratibha Award, Navy Commendation Award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Award.

  • இந்திய வம்சாவளியைச் சேர்ந்த அமெரிக்க விண்வெளி வீராங்கனை சுனிதா வில்லியம்ஸ் 1965ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 19ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவிலுள்ள யூக்ளிட் என்ற இடத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

  • 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு அமெரிக்க கடற்படையில் இளநிலை அதிகாரியாக பணியில் சேர்ந்த இவர், 2 ஆண்டுகளில் கடற்படை விமானியானார்.

  • 2006ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 9ஆம் தேதி டிஸ்கவரி விண்வெளி கலத்தில் சர்வதேச விண்வெளி நிலையத்திற்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டார். அப்பொழுது இவர் பகவத்கீதை, விநாயகர் சிலை, கொஞ்சம் சமோசாக்களை விண்வெளிக்கு எடுத்துச்சென்றார்.

  • விண்வெளியில் மாரத்தான் ஓடிய முதல் நபர் சுனிதா. விண்வெளியில் ஓடிக்கொண்டே தனது தலைமுடியை கத்தரித்தார். இவர் பத்ம பூஷன், சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் விஸ்வ பிரதீபா விருது, நேவி கமென்டேஷன் விருது, நேவி மற்றும் மரைன் கார்ப்ஸ் சாதனை விருது போன்ற பல்வேறு விருதுகளை இவர் பெற்றுள்ளார்.


வில்லியம் கோல்டிங் - William Golding - British Novelist :

✒️British Novelist and Poet Sir William Gerald Golding, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, was born on September 19, 1911 in Newquay, Cornwall, England. He has written many stories and articles. Although his works were rejected several times, he continued to write relentlessly. He wrote the novel "Lord of the Flies" in 1954. The novel, about man's internal struggles between good and evil, became a huge hit. He won the Booker Prize in 1980 for his novel "Rites of Passage". His books, which received many awards and honors, were translated into many languages. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1983. He was awarded the title of Sir in 1988. William Golding, who gave many successful works like short stories, plays, essays and reviews, died on June 19, 1993.

  • இலக்கியத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற பிரிட்டிஷ் நாவல் ஆசிரியரும், கவிஞருமான சர் வில்லியம் ஜெரால்டு கோல்டிங் 1911ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 19ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்தின் கார்ன்வால் பகுதியில் உள்ள நியூகி நகரில் பிறந்தார்.

  • இவர் பல கதை, கட்டுரைகளை எழுதியுள்ளார். இவரது படைப்புகள் பலமுறை நிராகரிக்கப்பட்டாலும், மனம் தளராமல் தொடர்ந்து எழுதினார்.

  • இவர் "லார்டு ஆஃப் தி ஃப்ளைஸ்" (Lord of the Flies) என்ற நாவலை 1954ஆம் ஆண்டு எழுதினார். நன்மை, தீமை இரண்டுக்கும் இடையேயான மனிதனின் உள்முகப் போராட்டங்கள் குறித்த இந்த நாவல் முழுவதும் பிரபலமடைந்து, மாபெரும் வெற்றி பெற்றது.

  • இவர் 'ரைட்ஸ் ஆஃப் பேஸேஜ்" (Rites of Passage) நாவலுக்காக 1980ஆம் ஆண்டு புக்கர் பரிசு பெற்றார். பல விருதுகள், கௌரவங்களைப் பெற்ற இவரது நூல்கள் பல மொழிகளில் மொழிபெயர்க்கப்பட்டன. 1983ஆம் ஆண்டு இலக்கியத்திற்கான நோபல் பரிசு பெற்றார். 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு சர் பட்டம் இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.

  • சிறுகதை, நாடகம், கட்டுரை, விமர்சனம் என பலவிதமான வெற்றிப் படைப்புகளை தந்த வில்லியம் கோல்டிங் 1993ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 19ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
