The Foreign Marriage Act, 1969 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 31st August 1969, to make provision relating to marriages of citizens of India outside India.

The Terrorist Affected Areas (Special Courts) Act, 1984 :

✒️It was enacted on 31st August, 1984 & as per Sec 1(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on 14th July, 1984, to provide for the speedy trial of certain offences in terrorist affected areas and for matters connected therewith.

The National Co-operative Development Corporation Act, 1962 :

✒️It was enacted on 31st August 1962 & came into force on 14th March 1963, to provide for the incorporation and regulation of a corporation for the purpose of planning and promoting programmes for the production, processing, marketing, storage, export and import of agricultural produce, foodstuffs industrial goods, livestock, certain other commodities and services on co-operative principles and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

The States Reorganisation Act, 1956 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 31st August 1956, to provide for the reorganisation of the States of India and for matters connected therewith.

The Land Ports Authority of India Act, 2010 :

✒️It was enacted on 31st August 2010 & came into force on 1st March 2012, to provide for the establishment of the Land Ports Authority of India to put in place systems which address security imperatives and for the development and management of facilities for cross border movement of passengers and goods at designated points along the international borders of India and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

மரியா மாண்ட்டிசோரி - Maria Tecla Artemisia Montessori - Italian Physician - Educator :

✒️Italian physician and educator Maria Montessori was born on August 31, 1870 in Italy. Instead of notebooks, she made learning interesting by replacing notebooks with toys, color cards, sound making equipment, drawing, coloring sheets, putty etc. By this the children learned the lessons easily. She explored about 200 years of education system. She has also written many books. Her speeches at various places were compiled and published as books. In 1897, she formulated the principles for innovative educational programs. She also improved the learning ability of mentally retarded children. She came to India in 1939 and stayed for 8 years and trained many teachers in the Montessori method. She has also participated in many conferences. Maria Montessori passed away on 6th May 1952, who introduced a sweet, simple, and exciting educational system that developed children's creativity.

புதுமை, எளிமை நிறைந்த புதிய கல்விமுறையை அறிமுகப்படுத்திய இத்தாலி மருத்துவரும், கல்வியாளருமான மரியா மாண்ட்டிசோரி 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 31ஆம் தேதி இத்தாலியில் பிறந்தார். நோட்டுப் புத்தகங்களுக்கு பதிலாக பொம்மை, வண்ண அட்டை, ஒலி எழுப்பும் கருவிகள், ஓவியம், வண்ணத்தாள்கள், புட்டிகள் போன்றவற்றை கொண்டு, கற்றலை சுவாரஸ்யமாக மாற்றினார். இதன் மூலம் குழந்தைகள் பாடங்களை எளிதாகக் கற்றனர். இந்த முறை உலகெங்கும் பரவியது. அமெரிக்கா, சுவிட்சர்லாந்து, ஸ்பெயின், நெதர்லாந்து, பிரிட்டன் ஆகிய நாடுகள் இவருக்கு அழைப்பு விடுத்தார்கள். அங்கெல்லாம் சென்று இந்த புதிய கல்விமுறை குறித்து விளக்க உரை நிகழ்த்தினார். உலகம் முழுவதும் சிறுவர் கல்விமுறையில் ஒரு புதிய உளவியல் புரட்சி மலர்ந்தது. தனது புதிய கல்விமுறையின் அடிப்படையில் ரோம் நகரில் 1907ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் வகுப்பைத் தொடங்கினார். இது மாண்ட்டிசோரி கல்விமுறை என பிரபலமடைந்தது. பல்வேறு இடங்களில் இவர் ஆற்றிய உரைகள் தொகுக்கப்பட்டு நூல்களாக வெளியிடப்பட்டது. புதுமைக் கல்வித் திட்டத்திற்கான கோட்பாடுகளை 1897ஆம் ஆண்டு உருவாக்கினார். இவர் மனவளர்ச்சி குன்றிய குழந்தைகளின் கற்கும் திறனையும் மேம்படுத்தினார். 1939ஆம் ஆண்டு இந்தியாவுக்கு வந்த இவர் 8 ஆண்டுகள் தங்கியிருந்து ஏராளமான ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு மாண்ட்டிசோரி முறையில் பயிற்சி அளித்தார். பல மாநாடுகளில் பங்கேற்றார். இனிமை, எளிமை, உற்சாகம் நிறைந்த கல்விமுறையை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, அதன் மூலம் குழந்தைகளின் படைப்பாற்றலை மேம்படுத்திய மரியா மாண்ட்டிசோரி 1952ஆம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 6ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

ஜஹாங்கீர் - Jahangir - Mughal Emperor :

✒️King Jahangir of the Mughal Empire was born on 31st August 1569. Jahangir decided to begin his reign with what he saw as an emphasis on 'justice'. Like his father, Jahangir increased the territories dominated by the Mughals through conquests. Jahangir was responsible for ending the century-long conflict with Mewar rule. Jahangir intended to capture the fort of Kangra, which Akbar had failed to conquer. As a result the fort was besieged. In 1620, the fort was taken over. On October 28, 1627, Jahangir died on his way from Kashmir. Jahangir's beautiful mausoleum is located in Lahore's Shahdara Stadium.
