✒️It was enacted on 16th July 2006 & came into force on 2nd October 2006, to provide for facilitating the promotion and development and enhancing the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
✒️Today is the memorial day of the freedom movement leader Chittaranjan Das, fondly called Deshbandhu (friend of nation) by the people, was born on November 5, 1870 in bikrampur near Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. While active in politics, he rose to prominence in the Indian National Congress. Subhash Chandra Bose hailed him as his political guru. Dissatisfied with the Congress' abandonment of the Non-Cooperation Movement, he launched the Swarajya Party in 1922. He became a member of the Parliamentary Council in 1923. The Swarajya Party won the 1924 Calcutta Municipal Elections and Chittaranjan Das became the Mayor. He was the one who brought village panchayat and village self-government in his five year plan. Being a poet he has written & published two volumes of his poem 'Malancha’ and ‘Mala’ and 'Sagar Sangeet' poetry anthology, 'Kishor Kishori', 'Antaryami' etc. This philanthropist, who was poor due to his giving nature, bequeathed his house and surrounding lands for the benefit of destitute women. Such a great heart died on 16 June 1925 at the age of 54.

✒️தேசபந்து என்று மக்களால் அன்புடன் அழைக்கப்பட்ட சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத் தலைவர் சித்தரஞ்சன் தாஸ், 1870ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 5ஆம் தேதி வங்கதேசத் தலைநகர் தாகா அருகே விக்ரம்பூரில் பிறந்தார். தீவிர அரசியலில் ஈடுபட்டு, இந்திய தேசிய காங்கிரஸில் முக்கியத் தலைவராக உயர்ந்தார். இவரை தன் அரசியல் குருவாகப் போற்றினார் சுபாஷ் சந்திரபோஸ். ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கத்தை காங்கிரஸ் கைவிட்டதால் அதிருப்தி அடைந்து, 1922ஆம் ஆண்டு சுயராஜ்ஜியக் கட்சியைத் தொடங்கினார். 1923ஆம் ஆண்டு நாடாளுமன்ற கவுன்சில் உறுப்பினரானார். 1924ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்த கல்கத்தா மாநகராட்சித் தேர்தலில் சுயராஜ்ஜியக் கட்சி வெற்றி பெற்று, சித்தரஞ்சன் தாஸ் மேயரானார். கிராமப் பஞ்சாயத்து, கிராம சுயாட்சி ஆகியவற்றை அப்போதே தனது ஐந்து அம்ச திட்டத்தில் கொண்டு வந்தவர் இவர் தான். சாகர் சங்கீத் கவிதைத் தொகுப்பு, நாராயண்மாலா, கிஷோர் கிஷோரி, அந்தர்யாமி உள்ளிட்ட புத்தகங்கள் மற்றும் இவர் திலகர் குறித்து பல நூல்கள் எழுதியுள்ளார். தன் ஈகை குணத்தால் ஏழையான இந்த வள்ளல், தன் வீட்டையும் அதைச் சுற்றியுள்ள நிலங்களையும் ஆதரவற்ற பெண்களின் நலனுக்காக எழுதி வைத்தார். இவர் தனது 54வது வயதில் 1925ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 16ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar, hailed as the father of art, was born on June 16, 1893 in Sivagangai district. He was educated at St. Thomas College, Colombo, Sri Lanka. He also started a magazine there for the interests of upland plantation workers in Sri Lanka. Thiagarajan returned to India and established an industrial company called Meenakshi Mill in Madurai. He set up a yarn mill and a weaving mill. Subsequently he established spinning mills in many towns. He showed special interest in Tamil. He was deeply involved in reading books and Tamil grammar and literature at a young age. Because of this, he ran a newspaper called Tamil Nadu in pure Tamil for many years. Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar, who was admired as the father of art, artist and business genius, passed away on July 29, 1974 at the age of 81.
✒️கலைத்தந்தை என்று போற்றப்பட்ட கருமுத்து தியாகராஜன் செட்டியார் 1893ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 16ஆம் தேதி சிவகங்கை மாவட்டத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவர் இலங்கையில் கொழும்பு புனித தோமையர் கல்லூரியில் கல்வி கற்றார். இலங்கையின் மலையக தோட்டத் தொழிலாளர் நலன்களுக்காக அங்கு பத்திரிக்கை ஒன்றையும் தொடங்கி நடத்தினார். இந்தியா திரும்பிய தியாகராஜன் மதுரையில் மீனாட்சி மில் என்ற தொழில் நிறுவனத்தை நிறுவினார். நூல் ஆலையும், நெசவு ஆலையும் அமைத்தார். தொடர்ந்து பல ஊர்களில் நூற்பு ஆலைகளை நிறுவினார். இவர் தமிழ்மீது தனி ஆர்வம் காட்டி வந்தார். இளம் வயதிலேயே புத்தகம் படிப்பதிலும் தமிழ் இலக்கண, இலக்கியங்களிலும் ஆழ்ந்த ஈடுபாடு கொண்டவர். இதன் காரணமாக தூய தமிழில் தமிழ்நாடு என்னும் நாளிதழை பல ஆண்டுகள் நடத்தி வந்தார். கலைத்தந்தை, வள்ளல், தொழில் மேதை என்றெல்லாம் போற்றப்பட்டவரான கருமுத்து தியாகராஜன் செட்டியார் 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுலை 29ந் தேதி தனது 81வது வயதில் மறைந்தார்.

🌟2012ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் 16ஆம் சென்சூ விண்வெளி திட்டத்தின் ஒன்பதாவது விண் பயணத்தில் பயணித்த முதல் சீனப் பெண் என்ற பெருமையை லியு யங் பெற்றார் - On June 16, 2012, Liu Yang became the first Chinese woman to fly on the ninth space flight of the Shenzhou Space Program.
