✒️Manna Dey, the best playback singer of Indian cinema, was born on May 1, 1919 in West Bengal. His original name was Prabodh Chandra Dey. He became famous in the South Indian film industry with the movie Chemmeen. He was known as Manna Dey because he captured the hearts of the people. Most of the songs he sang in his musical career spanning more than 60 years are popular. He has received many awards like Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Manna Dey, who is still present in the hearts of thousands of fans after singing many timeless songs, passed away on October 24, 2013.
