Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit - Renowned Inventor

டேனியல் பாரன்ஹீட் - Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit - Physicist - Inventor :

✒️German physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit, who invented the mercury glass thermometer, was born on May 24, 1686. He invented the alcohol thermometer. Also, he attracted the world's attention with the invention of the Fahrenheit temperature unit. The Fahrenheit temperature unit is named after him. He died in his 50th year (16.9.1736).

✒️பாதரச கண்ணாடி வெப்பமானியை கண்டுபிடித்த ஜெர்மானிய இயற்பியலாளர் டேனியல் கேப்ரியல் பாரன்ஹீட் 1686ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 24ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார். இவர் ஆல்கஹால் தெர்மாமீட்டர் (Alcohol thermometer) கருவியை கண்டுபிடித்தார். மேலும், பாரன்ஹீட் வெப்பநிலை அலகின் கண்டுபிடிப்பால் உலகின் கவனத்தை ஈர்த்தவர். இவரின் பெயரை வைத்தே அவ்வலகிற்கு பாரன்ஹீட் வெப்பநிலை அலகு எனப் பெயர் இடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இவர் தன்னுடைய 50வது வயதில் (16.9.1736) மறைந்தார்.

அலெக்சாண்ட்ரினா விக்டோரியா - Queen Victoria - Former Queen of the United Kingdom & India's First Empress :

✒️Alexandrina Victoria, the first empress of India, was born on 24 May 1819 in London. She became Queen of England at the age of 18. His reign was 63 years and 7 months. A period centered around her reign is known as the Victorian period. Her period was the height of industrial revolution. It led to social, economic and technological developments in the United Kingdom. It was during her time that the British Empire expanded greatly and reached its peak and became the leading world power of the time. Queen Victoria, nicknamed the Grandmother of Europe, died aged 81 (22.1.1901).

✒️இந்தியாவின் முதல் பேரரசியான அலெக்சாண்ட்ரினா விக்டோரியா 1819ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 24ஆம் தேதி லண்டனில் பிறந்தார். இவர், தனது 18வது வயதில் இங்கிலாந்தின் ராணியானார். இவரது ஆட்சிக்காலம் 63 ஆண்டுகள் 7 மாதங்களாகும். இவரது ஆட்சிக்காலத்தை மையமாகக் கொண்ட ஒரு காலப்பகுதி விக்டோரியா காலப்பகுதி எனப்படுகிறது. இவரது காலம் தொழிற்புரட்சியின் உயர்நிலையாகும். இது ஐக்கிய இராஜ்ஜியத்தில், சமூக, பொருளியல், தொழில்நுட்ப வளர்ச்சிகளை ஏற்படுத்தியது. இவருடைய காலத்திலேயே பிரித்தானியப் பேரரசு பெரிதும் விரிவடைந்து அதன் உச்ச நிலையை எட்டியதுடன், அக்காலத்தின் முன்னணி உலக வல்லரசாகவும் திகழ்ந்தது. ஐரோப்பாவின் பாட்டி எனும் பட்டப் பெயரை கொண்ட விக்டோரியா மகாராணி, 81வது வயதில் (22.1.1901) மறைந்தார்.

நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் - Nicolaus Copernicus - Renowned Astronomer - Polymath :

✒️Today is the memorial day of the world famous pioneer astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who was born on 19th February 1473 in Thorn, Poland. His given name is Mikołaj Kopernik. While studying at university, he changed his name to Nicolaus Copernicus. His research was carried out without any telescopic equipment. He rejected the hitherto accepted theory of earth centrism and divided the heliocentric theory. He also explained the backward motion of the planets and their light differences. He defined the locations of the stars. After his time his theories were accepted by famous astronomers including Galileo. He authored a book, "On the Revolution of the Heavenly Spheres". In it he accurately stated that the earth rotates on its axis and that the earth revolves around the moon. Nicolaus Copernicus, who not only served as an astronomer, but also as a legal expert, physician, archaeologist, clergyman, governor, and ambassador, died on 24th May (today) 1543.

✒️உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற முன்னோடி வானியலாளர் நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் 1473ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 19ஆம் தேதி போலந்து நாட்டின் தோர்ன் நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவரின் இயற்பெயர் மைகொலாஜ் கோபர்நிக். பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் படித்தபோது, நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் என்று மாற்றிக்கொண்டார். எந்த தொலைநோக்கி கருவியும் இல்லாமலேயே இவரது ஆராய்ச்சிகள் நடைபெற்றன. வானியல் குறித்து அதுவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வந்த புவி மையக் கோட்பாட்டை மறுத்து சூரிய மையக் கோட்பாட்டை வகுத்தார். கோள்களின் பின்னோக்கிய நகர்வு, அவற்றின் ஒளி வேறுபாடுகள் ஆகியவற்றையும் விளக்கினார். விண்மீன்கள் அமைந்துள்ள இடங்களை வரையறுத்துக் கூறினார். இவரது காலத்துக்கு பிறகே இவரது கோட்பாடுகளை கலீலியோ உள்ளிட்ட பிரபல வானியலாளர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். "ஆன் தி ரெவல்யூஷன் ஆஃப் தி ஹெவன்லி ஸ்பியர்ஸ்" (On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres) என்ற நூலில் தனது ஆய்வுகள் குறித்து எழுதியுள்ளார். இதில் பூமி தனது அச்சில் சுழல்கிறது என்பதையும், பூமியை சந்திரன் சுற்றி வருகிறது என்றும் துல்லியமாக குறிப்பிட்டிருந்தார். வானியல் ஆய்வாளராக மட்டுமல்லாமல், சட்ட நிபுணர், மருத்துவர், பழங்கலை அறிஞர், மதகுரு, ஆளுநர், அரசு தூதர் என பல துறைகளில் தனது பங்களிப்பை வழங்கிய நிக்கோலாஸ் கோப்பர்னிக்கஸ் தனது 70வது வயதில் 1543ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 24ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
