✒️It was enacted on 28th April 1950 & came into force on 22nd July 1950, to provide for the disposal of the private property of persons subject to the Army Act, 1950 or the Air Force Act, 1950 , who die or desert or are ascertained to be of unsound mind or while on active service are officially reported to be missing.
✒️The UN Council announced this on April 28 to raise awareness about the consequences of work-related accidents and diseases and occupational safety and health. This day has been announced to assist in efforts to improve occupational safety and health in all countries.

✒️Jan Hendrik Oort, an international astronomer and major contributor to the understanding of the Milky Way, was born on April 28, 1900, in the village of Franeker, Netherlands. He received his doctorate in 1926 after writing a dissertation on the properties of high-velocity stars. The Milky Way spins like a monster wheel. Constellations travel separately in space. He found that objects closer to the center of the universe rotate faster than those further away. These discoveries made him very famous among astronomers all over the world. He and his colleagues built the largest radio telescope. That said, the stars move as a group around the Milky Way outside the primary circle. In 1950, he discovered that comets come from the circle of the solar system. Many astronomical discoveries such as Oort Cloud, Oort constants of Milky Way Structure are also named after him. Jan Hendrik Oort, who revolutionized astronomy, died (5.11.1992) aged 92.
✒️சர்வதேச வானியல் அறிஞரும், பால்வெளி குறித்த புரிதலுக்கு மகத்தான பங்களிப்பை வழங்கியவருமான ஜான் ஹென்ரிக் ஊர்ட், 1900ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 28ஆம் தேதி நெதர்லாந்தின் ஃபிநேகர் என்ற கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார். உயர்-திசை வேகம் (high-velocity) கொண்ட நட்சத்திரங்களின் பண்புகளைக் குறித்த ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரையை எழுதி 1926ஆம் ஆண்டு முனைவர் பட்டம் பெற்றார். பால்வெளி ஒரு அசுரச் சக்கரம் போல சுழல்கிறது. அண்டவெளியில் நட்சத்திரக்கூட்டங்கள் தனித்தனியாக பயணிக்கின்றன. அண்டவெளி மையத்திற்கு நெருக்கமாக உள்ளவை, தொலைவில் உள்ளவற்றைவிட வேகமாக சுழல்கின்றன என்பதையெல்லாம் கண்டறிந்தார். இந்தக் கண்டுபிடிப்புகள் மூலம் உலகம் முழுவதும் உள்ள வானியலாளர்களிடையே மிகவும் பிரபலமடைந்தார். இவரும் இவரது சகாக்களும் இணைந்து மிகப்பெரிய ரேடியோ டெலஸ்கோப் ஒன்றை உருவாக்கினார்கள். அதைக்கொண்டு நட்சத்திரங்கள் ஒரு குழுவாகப் பால்வெளியை முதன்மை வட்டத்தின் வெளியே சுற்றி வருகின்றன என்றார். சூரியக் குடும்பத்தின் வட்டத்திலிருந்து வால் நட்சத்திரங்கள் வருவதை 1950ஆம் ஆண்டு கண்டறிந்து கூறினார். ஊர்த் சிறுகோள், ஊர்த் முகில், பால்வெளிக் கட்டமைப்பின் ஊர்த் மாறிலிகள் என பல வானியல் கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்கும் இவரது பெயர் சூட்டப்பட்டது. வானியலில் புரட்சியை ஏற்படுத்திய ஜான் ஹென்ரிக் ஊர்ட் 92வது வயதில் (5.11.1992) மறைந்தார்.

🌟 1955ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 28ஆம் தேதி ஆட்டோமொபைல் துறையின் முன்னோடியான டி.வி.சுந்தரம் ஐயங்கார் மறைந்தார் - T.V.Sundaram Iyengar, a pioneer in the automobile industry, passed away on April 28, 1955.
