✒️It was enacted & enforced on 22nd March 1905, to provide for investing the Railway Board with certain powers or functions under the Indian Railways Act, 1890.

✒️As the world cannot exist without water, we cannot live without water. Only 30 percent of the earth is covered by forests. The remaining 70 percent is water surface. But today, it is an undeniable fact that the earth is losing enough facilities to provide the necessary water to the people living in that 30 percent. Since 1993, March 22 has been declared as World Water Day by the UN and we have been observing and celebrating it till date. However, the situation of billions of people in the world going without water every year has not gone away. So, on this day, World Water Day, let us take the pledge to save water as life without polluting it and strive to fulfill it.

✒️T.V.Sundram Iyengar, the pioneer of Indian industry and automobile industry, was born on March 22, 1877 in Tirunelveli district, Tirukurungudi. He worked as a lawyer, railway clerk and bank employee. After his father's death, he entered the industry. At first he started a timber business by importing teak trees. He started T. V. Sundaram Iyengar and Sons in 1911. Subsequently, in 1912, he started the bus service on the Tanjur-Pudukottai route and laid the foundation for the road transport industry in South India. He introduced the procedure of bus fare and issuing a receipt. He also introduced the system of departure and arrival of buses as per schedule for the first time in the country. Since then many companies have been started and functioning in the TVS group like Rubber Renewal Plant, The Madras Auto Service Limited, Sundaram Motor Limited, Wheels India, Brakes India, TVS Infotech, Sundaram Finance. TV Sundaram Iyengar, founder of TVS Group, one of the country's largest business enterprises and a leading businessman, passed away on 28 April 1955.
✒️இந்திய தொழில்துறை, ஆட்டோமொபைல் துறையின் முன்னோடியான டி.வி.சுந்தரம் ஐயங்கார் 1877ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 22ஆம் தேதி திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டம் திருக்குறுங்குடியில் பிறந்தார். இவர் வழக்கறிஞர், ரயில்வே குமாஸ்தா, வங்கி ஊழியர் என பல வேலைகள் செய்தவர். தந்தையின் மறைவுக்குப் பிறகு, தொழில்துறையில் இறங்கினார். முதலில் தேக்கு மரங்களை இறக்குமதி செய்து மர வியாபாரத்தை தொடங்கினார். இவர் 1911ஆம் ஆண்டு தி.வே.சுந்தரம் ஐயங்கார் அண்ட் சன்ஸ் நிறுவனத்தை தொடங்கினார். அதைத்தொடர்ந்து 1912ஆம் ஆண்டு தஞ்சாவூர்-புதுக்கோட்டை வழித்தடத்தில் பேருந்து சேவை தொடங்கி, தென்னிந்தியாவில் சாலைப் போக்குவரத்து துறைக்கு அடித்தளமிட்டார். பேருந்து கட்டணம் இவ்வளவு தூரத்திற்கு இவ்வளவு கட்டணம், ரசீது வழங்குவது ஆகிய நடைமுறைகளை கொண்டுவந்தார். கால அட்டவணைப்படி பேருந்துகள் புறப்பட்டு, சென்றடையும் நடைமுறையையும் நாட்டிலேயே முதல்முறையாக அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். அதன்பின்பு ரப்பர் புதுப்பிப்பு ஆலை, தி மெட்ராஸ் ஆட்டோ சர்வீஸ் லிமிடெட், சுந்தரம் மோட்டார் லிமிடெட், வீல்ஸ் இந்தியா, ப்ரேக்ஸ் இந்தியா, டி.வி.எஸ் இன்ஃபோடெக், சுந்தரம் ஃபைனான்ஸ் என டி.வி.எஸ் குழுமத்தில் ஏராளமான நிறுவனங்கள் தொடங்கப்பட்டு செயல்பட்டு வருகின்றன. நாட்டின் மிகப்பெரிய வணிக நிறுவனங்களில் ஒன்றான டி.வி.எஸ் குழுமத்தை தொடங்கியவரும், முன்னணி தொழிலதிபராக விளங்கியவருமான டி.வி.சுந்தரம் ஐயங்கார் 1955ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
