✒️Mahadevi Verma, prominent in Hindi literature and an active participant in the freedom struggle, was born on March 26, 1907 in Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh. Among her works, the memoirs "Smriti ki Rekhaye" and "Ateet Ke Chalchitra", which include personal experiences, are the most popular. She was pained by the sufferings of slave India and expressed them in her works. "Shrankhala Ki Kadiyan" has written thoughts on social problems and the quality of life of women. Fascinated by Mahatma Gandhi's policies of social reform, she also engaged in social service. Apart from the Sahitya Akademi Award, Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Jnanpith Award, she has received all the awards given for literature. Mahadevi Varma popularly known as Modern Meera passed away on 11th September 1987.
✒️இந்தி இலக்கியத்தில் முக்கியமானவரும், சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் தீவிரமாகப் பங்கேற்றவருமான மகாதேவி வர்மா 1907ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 26ஆம் தேதி உத்தரப் பிரதேச மாநிலம் பரூக்காபாத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவரது படைப்புகளில் சொந்த அனுபவங்களை உள்ளடக்கிய ஸ்ம்ருதி கீ ரேகாயே, அதீத் கே சலசித்ர ஆகிய நினைவுச் சித்திரங்கள் மிகவும் பிரபலமானவை. அடிமை இந்தியாவில் நிலவிய துன்பங்களைக் கண்டு வேதனை அடைந்து, அவற்றைத் தன் படைப்புகளில் வெளிப்படுத்தினார். சமூகப் பிரச்சனைகள், பெண்களின் வாழ்க்கைத் தரம் குறித்த சிந்தனைகளை ஸ்ருங்கலா கீ கடியா என்ற தொகுப்பில் எழுதியுள்ளார். மகாத்மா காந்தியின் சமூக சீர்திருத்தக் கொள்கைகளால் கவரப்பட்டு, சமூக சேவையிலும் ஈடுபட்டார். சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது, பத்ம பூஷண், பத்ம விபூஷண், ஞானபீட விருது மட்டுமின்றி, இலக்கியத்துக்காக வழங்கப்படும் அனைத்து விருதுகளையும் பெற்றுள்ளார். மார்டன் மீரா என்று போற்றப்பட்ட மகாதேவி வர்மா 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 11ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

✒️The widely known evolutionary biologist Clinton Richard Dawkins was born on March 26, 1941 in Nairobi, Kenya. His book "The Selfish Gene" contributed greatly to a broader understanding of evolutionary theory. In 2006, his book "The God Delusion" created a huge debate. He introduces a new concept called Meme for culture just as Gene is the basic element in biology. He called this as the unit of cultural transmission.
✒️பரவலாக அறியப்பட்ட படிவளர்ச்சி உயிரியலாளர் கிளின்டன் ரிச்சார்ட் டாக்கின்ஸ் 1941ஆம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் 26ஆம் தேதி கென்யாவில் உள்ள நைரோபியில் பிறந்தார். இவரது செல்ஃபிஷ் ஜீன் (The Selfish Gene) நூல் படிவளர்ச்சி கொள்கை பற்றிய ஒரு பரந்த அறிதலுக்கு மிக உதவியது. 2006ஆம் ஆண்டில் இவர் எழுதிய தி காட் டில்யூசன் (The God Delusion) என்ற நூல் பெரும் விவாதத்தை உருவாக்கியது. அதில் எப்படி உயிரியலில் மரபணு (Gene) என்பது அடிப்படைக் கூறாக உள்ளதோ அதுபோல பண்பாட்டுக்கு அவர் மீம் (Meme) என்ற புதிய கருதுகோளை அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறார். இதனை தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக செலுத்தும் பண்பாட்டின் மரபணுக்கூறு (Unit of Cultural Transmission) என்று கூறியுள்ளார்.
