The Revenue Recovery Act, 1890 :

✒️It was enacted & enforced on 14th February 1890, to make better provision for recovering certain public demands.

Fritz Zwicky - Astronomer

ஃபிரிட்ஸ் ஸ்விக்கி - Fritz Zwicky - Swiss Astronomer :

✒️Fritz Zwicky, who played an important role in theoretical and observational astronomy, was born on February 14, 1898 in Varna, Bulgaria. He discovered neutron stars (supernova). In 1933 he discovered dark matter in his research on the Coma galaxy cluster. Thus he is hailed as the father of black matter. He has been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his contributions to rocket propulsion. Fritz Zwicky died in 1974 after making many important contributions in various fields of astronomy.

✒️கோட்பாடு மற்றும் கண்காணிப்பு வானியலில் முக்கியப் பங்காற்றிய ஃபிரிட்ஸ் ஸ்விக்கி 1898ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 14ஆம் தேதி பல்கேரியா நாட்டின் வர்னா நகரில் பிறந்தார். இவர் நியூட்ரான் நட்சத்திரங்களைக் (சூப்பர்நோவா) கண்டறிந்தார். 1933ஆம் ஆண்டு கோமா கேலக்ஸி கிளஸ்டர் தொடர்பான ஆராய்ச்சியில் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியாத பருப்பொருள்களை (டார்க் மேட்டர்) கண்டறிந்தார். இதனால் கரும்பொருளின் தந்தை என போற்றப்படுகிறார். ராக்கெட் உந்துதல் தொடர்பான பங்களிப்புகளுக்காக அமெரிக்க அதிபரின் சுதந்திரப் பதக்கம் இவருக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. வானியலில் பல்வேறு களங்களில் பல முக்கிய பங்களிப்புகளை வழங்கிய ஃபிரிட்ஸ் ஸ்விக்கி 1974ஆம் ஆண்டு மறைந்தார்.

உலக காதலர் தினம் - Valentine's Day :

✒️Claudius II, who ruled Rome, forbade young men in his country to fall in love. But, a Christian priest called Valentine supported love and arranged love marriages for many people. Valentine was beheaded on February 14th around 269 AD as a supporter of lovers. The day of his death is celebrated as Valentine's Day.

✒️ரோமாபுரியை ஆட்சிபுரிந்த இரண்டாம் கிளாடியஸ் என்ற மன்னர் தனது நாட்டில் வாழும் இளைஞர்கள் காதலிக்கக்கூடாது என தடைவிதித்தார். ஆனால், வாலண்டைன் என்கிற கிறிஸ்துவ பாதிரியார் காதலை ஆதரித்து பலருக்கு காதல் திருமணம் செய்து வைத்தார். காதலர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக இருந்த வாலண்டைனின் தலை ஏறத்தாழ கி.பி.269ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 14ஆம் தேதி வெட்டப்பட்டது. அவரின் இறந்த தினமே காதலர் தினமாகக் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

ஜாகிருதீன் பாபர் - Babur (Zahir-ud-Din Muhammad) - Founder of the Mughal Empire (First Emperor of the Mughal Dynasty in the Indian Subcontinent) :

✒️The Mughal Emperor Babur was born on February 14, 1483 in the city of Andijan in the Fergana Valley in Uzbekistan (Asia). It was during his reign that the judiciary was established and criminal activities started to be controlled. Babur, the founder of the Mughal dynasty in India, died on December 26, 1530.

✒️முகலாயப் பேரரசர் ஜாகிருதீன் பாபர் 1483ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 14ஆம் தேதி உஸ்பெகிஸ்தானில் (ஆசியாவில் உள்ள) பெர்கானாப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலுள்ள அண்டிஜான் என்னும் நகரத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவரின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்திலேயே நீதித்துறை அமைக்கப்பட்டு குற்ற நடவடிக்கைகளை கட்டுப்படுத்தவும் ஆரம்பித்தன. இந்தியாவில் முகலாய வம்சத்தை உருவாக்கிய பாபர் 1530ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 26ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

சார்ல்ஸ் வில்சன் - Charles Thomson Rees Wilson - Scottish Physicist - Meteorologist & Nobel Laureate :

✒️Charles Thomson Rees Wilson, the inventor of the Wilson cloud chamber, was born on February 14, 1869 in Scotland. The device works based on the fact that vapor readily deposits on charged particles. For this, he won the Nobel Prize in 1927 and died on November 15, 1959.

✒️முகிலறையை (Wilson cloud chamber) கண்டுபிடித்த சார்ல்ஸ் தாம்சன் ரீஸ் வில்சன் 1869ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 14ஆம் தேதி ஸ்காட்லாந்தில் பிறந்தார். மின்னூட்டமுடைய துகள்களில் நீராவி எளிதில் படிகிறது எனும் உண்மையை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு செயல்படும் கருவி முகிலறை. இதற்காக 1927ஆம் ஆண்டு நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற இவர் 1959ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 15ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
