✒️It was enacted & enforced on 28th February 1917, to consolidate and amend the law providing for the destruction or other disposal of certain documents in the possession or custody of Courts and Revenue and other public officers.
✒️The National Science Day was announced by the Government of India in 1987 on the basis that scientists should be honored like martyrs. Sir C.V.Raman published the research result called Raman effect on February 28th (1928), for this he won the Nobel Prize in 1930 and brought fame to India. Hence, february 28th was declared as National Science Day when Raman published his research results. Its aim is to highlight the excellence of science to the younger generation of students and to welcome new discoveries.
✒️தியாகிகளை கொண்டாடுவதுபோல அறிவியல் அறிஞர்களும் போற்றப்பட வேண்டும் என்ற அடிப்படையில் 1987ஆம் ஆண்டு தேசிய அறிவியல் தினம் இந்திய அரசால் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. சர்.சி.வி.ராமன் அவர்கள் ஒளிச்சிதறல் விதி அதாவது ராமன் விளைவு (Raman Effect) என்கின்ற ஆராய்ச்சி முடிவை பிப்ரவரி 28ஆம் தேதி (1928) வெளியிட்டார். இதற்காக அவர் 1930ஆம் ஆண்டில் நோபல் பரிசு பெற்று இந்தியாவிற்கு புகழை தேடித்தந்தார். ராமன் ஆராய்ச்சி முடிவை வெளியிட்ட பிப்ரவரி 28ஆம் தேதி தான் தேசிய அறிவியல் தினமாக அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. அறிவியலின் சிறப்பை இளம்தலைமுறை மாணவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துக்கூறி, புதிய கண்டுபிடிப்புகளை வரவேற்பதே இத்தினத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.

✒️இந்தியாவின் முதல் குடியரசுத் தலைவர் இராஜேந்திர பிரசாத் 1884ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 3ஆம் தேதி பீகாரில் பிறந்தார். இவரை மக்கள் பாபுஜி என்று அன்புடன் அழைத்தனர். புகழ்பெற்ற வழக்கறிஞராகப் பணியாற்றிய இவர் காந்திஜியின் ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கத்தால் ஈர்க்கப்பட்டார். உண்மையை அறியும் குழுவுக்கு தலைமையேற்ற இராஜேந்திர பிரசாத் முக்கியமான தீர்வுகளை அரசுக்குப் பரிந்துரைத்து, விவசாயச் சட்டத்தில் இடம்பெற செய்தார். இது இராஜேந்திர பிரசாத் வாழ்வில் ஒரு திருப்புமுனையாக அமைந்தது. இந்திய குடியரசை செம்மையாக வழிநடத்திய இவருக்கு இந்திய அரசு பாரத ரத்னா விருது வழங்கி கௌரவித்தது. இந்திய குடியரசுத் தலைவர் பதவியை இரண்டு முறை வகித்த பெருமைக்குரிய டாக்டர் இராஜேந்திர பிரசாத் 1963ஆம் ஆண்டு பிப்ரவரி 28ந் தேதி (இன்று) மறைந்தார்.
