The Government Savings Promotion Act, 1873 :
✒️It was enacted and enforced on 28th January 1873, to regulate Irrigation, Navigation and Drainage Northern India.
சர் திருவாரூர் முத்துச்சாமி ஐயர் - Sir Thiruvarur Muthuswamy Iyer - Lawyer - Chief Justice of Madras High Court :
✒️Thiruvarur Muthuswamy Iyer, the first Indian Judge appointed to the Madras High Court in British India in 1877, and the first Indian to be appointed Chief Justice of the Madras High Court in 1893, was born on (Today) January 28, 1832.
- திருவாரூர் முத்துச்சாமி ஐயர், பிரித்தானிய இந்தியாவின் சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில், 1877-இல் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முதல் இந்திய நீதிபதி, 1893-இல் சென்னை உயர்நீதிமன்றத்தில் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட முதல் இந்தியர், (இன்று) 1832ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 28ந் தேதி பிறந்தார்.

லாலா லஜபதி ராய் - Lala Lajpat Rai - Indian Freedom Fighter & Author :
✒️Lala Lajpat Rai, a great author, one of the main leaders of the Indian freedom struggle and the 'Punjab Lion' who fought for India's freedom, was born (today) on January 28, 1865 in Punjab. He was active in Swadeshi Movement and Non-Cooperation Movement. He has written books such as Young India, Unhappy India, biographies of Chhatrapati Shivaji and the story of Lord Krishna. He is peacefully protested against the Simon group when they came to Lahore in 1928. During the protest Lajpat Rai was badly injured and addressed the gathering and said, 'The blows that fell on me are the nails that are hammered into the coffin of the British rule in India.' He died on 17th November 1928.
- இந்திய சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தின் முக்கியத் தலைவர்களுள் ஒருவரும், இந்திய விடுதலைக்காக பாடுபட்டவருமான 'பஞ்சாப் சிங்கம்" லாலா லஜபதி ராய் அவர்கள் (இன்று) 1865ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி 28ஆம் தேதி பஞ்சாபில் பிறந்தார். இவர் சுதேசி இயக்கம் மற்றும் ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கத்தில் தீவிரமாகப் போராடியவர். இவர் இவர் யங் இந்தியா, அன்ஹேப்பி இந்தியா, சத்ரபதி சிவாஜி உள்ளிட்ட மாவீரர்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு, பகவான் ஸ்ரீ கிருஷ்ணரின் கதை போன்ற நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். 1928ஆம் ஆண்டு லாகூர் வந்த சைமன் குழுவுக்கு எதிராக அமைதியான முறையில் ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தினார். இதில் படுகாயமடைந்த நிலையிலும் கூட்டத்தில் உரையாற்றிய லஜபதி ராய், 'என் மீது விழுந்த அடிகள், இந்தியாவில் பிரிட்டிஷ் ஆட்சிக்கான சவப்பெட்டியின் மீது அடிக்கப்படும் ஆணிகள்" என்று கூறினார். இவர் 1928ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 17ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
