The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 :

✒️It was enacted on 19th June 2012 and came into force on 14th November 2012, to protect children from offences of sexual assault, sexual harassment and pornography and provide for establishment of Special Courts for trial of such offences and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

உலக நீரிழிவு தினம் - World Diabetes Day :

✒️World Diabetes Day is observed on 14th November every year. It was launched by the International Diabetes Center and the World Health Organization in 1991 to create awareness among people about the increasing incidence of diabetes worldwide.

• உலக நீரிழிவு தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் நவம்பர் 14ஆம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. உலகம் முழுவதும் அதிகரித்து வரும் நீரிழிவு நோய் குறித்து மக்களிடையே விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக கடந்த 1991ஆம் ஆண்டில் சர்வதேச நீரிழிவு மையம் மற்றும் உலக சுகாதார நிறுவனத்தால் இத்தினம் அறிமுகப்படுத்தப்பட்டது.

ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு - Jawaharlal Nehru - Former Prime Minister of India (Children's Day) :

✒️Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, was born on 14th November 1889 in Allahabad district of Uttar Pradesh, India. As he was very fond of children, his birthday is celebrated as Children's Day in India. He participated in the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre (1919), Gandhi's Non-Cooperation Movement (1920) and the Quit India Movement. He was also a great English writer. His books include 'The Discovery of India', 'Glimpses of World History' and 'An Autobiography'. Nehru served as Prime Minister from August 15, 1947 to May 27, 1964 (16 years). In 1951, he formed the India Planning Commission and formulated the first five-year plan of independent India. Realizing that India's future progress lies in improving the education of children and youth, Nehru established and maintained government institutions of higher education. Such a great Nationalist died on 27th May 1964.

• சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் பிரதமரான ஜவஹர்லால் நேரு 1889ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 14ஆம் தேதி இந்தியாவின் உத்தரப்பிரதேச மாநிலத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள அலகாபாத் மாவட்டத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் குழந்தைகளின் மீது மிகுந்த அன்பு கொண்டிருந்தவராக இருந்ததால், இவரது பிறந்த நாள் இந்திய குழந்தைகள் தினமாக (Childrens Day) கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

• இவர் ஜாலியன் வாலாபாக் படுகொலை சம்பவம் (Jallianwala Bagh Massacre - 1919), காந்தியின் ஒத்துழையாமை இயக்கம் (Non - Cooperation Movement - 1920) மற்றும் வெள்ளையனே வெளியேறு இயக்கம் (Quit India Movement) ஆகிய சுதந்திர போராட்டங்களில் கலந்து கொண்டார்.

• இவர் சிறந்த ஆங்கில எழுத்தாளராகவும் திகழ்ந்தார். இவர் எழுதிய நூல்கள் 'தி டிஸ்கவரி ஆப் இந்தியா" (The Discovery of India) 'க்ளிம்ப்ஸஸ் ஆப் வேர்ல்ட் ஹிஸ்டரி" (Glimpses of World History) மற்றும் அன் ஆட்டோபயோகிராஃபி (An Autobiography) போன்றவை ஆகும்.

• நேரு அவர்கள், ஆகஸ்ட் 15, 1947ஆம் ஆண்டுமுதல் மே 27, 1964ஆம் ஆண்டு வரை பிரதமராக பணியாற்றினார். இவர் 1951ஆம் ஆண்டு, இந்திய திட்டக்குழுவை உருவாக்கி, சுதந்திர இந்தியாவின் முதல் ஐந்தாண்டு திட்டத்தை உருவாக்கினார்.

• 'இந்தியாவின் எதிர்கால முன்னேற்றம், குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களின் கல்வியை மேம்படுத்துவதில் தான் இருக்கிறது" என்பதை நன்கு உணர்ந்த நேரு அவர்கள், அரசாங்க உயர்கல்வி நிறுவனங்களை ஏற்படுத்தி கவனித்து வந்தார். நேரு அவர்கள், 1964ஆம் ஆண்டு, மே 27ஆம் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

Co-operative Week celebration :

கூட்டுறவு வார விழா, ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் நவம்பர் 14ஆம் தேதி முதல் 20ஆம் தேதி வரை ஒரு வார காலத்திற்கு, இந்தியா முழுவதிலும் உள்ள அனைத்து கூட்டுறவு நிறுவனங்களால் கூட்டுறவு வார விழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. கூட்டுறவு இயக்கத்தையும், கூட்டுறவு அமைப்புகளையும் மேம்படுத்துவதே இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும் - Co-operative Week Festival, Every year from 14th to 20th November for a week period, Co-operative Week is celebrated by all co-operatives across India. Its main objective is to promote co-operative movement and co-operative systems.

Robert Fulton :

1765ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 14ஆம் தேதி நீராவிக் கப்பலை கண்டுபிடித்த அமெரிக்கப் பொறியியலாளர் ராபர்ட் ஃபுல்டன் பிறந்தார் - Robert Fulton, the American engineer who invented the steamship, was born on November 14, 1765.

K.S.Gopalakrishnan :

2015ஆம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் 14ஆம் தேதி தமிழ் திரைப்பட இயக்குநர் கே.எஸ்.கோபாலகிருஷ்ணன் மறைந்தார் - Tamil film director K.S.Gopalakrishnan passed away on November 14, 2015.
