In that line today we are going to know about "The Supreme Court (Enlargement of Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction) Act, 1970 - Nagasaki Day - International Day of the World’s Indigenous People - Vinayaka Krishna Gokak, Writer - Singapore Seceded from Malaysia - E.Krishna Iyer, Indian lawyer, Freedom Fighter - S.R.Ranganathan, Father of Indian Library Science - Thomas Edison, Patent - Amedeo Avogadro, Italian Scientist - Francesco Barozzi, Italian Mathematician, Astronomer - Pisa, Construction."
The Supreme Court (Enlargement of Criminal Appellate Jurisdiction) Act, 1970 :
- It was enacted and enforced on 9th August 1970, to enlarge the appellate jurisdiction of the Supreme Court in regard to criminal matters.
The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 :
- It was enacted on 9th August 2019 & came into force on 20th July 2020, to provide for protection of the interests of consumers and for the said purpose, to establish authorities for timely and effective administration and settlement of consumers' disputes and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Admiralty (Jurisdiction and Settlement of Maritime Claims) Act, 2017 :
- It was enacted on 9th August 2017 & came into force 1st April 2018, to consolidate the laws relating to admiralty jurisdiction, legal proceedings in connection with vessels, their arrest, detention, sale and other matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Notaries Act, 1952 :
- It was enacted on 9th August 1952 & came into force on 14th February 1956, to regulate the profession of notaries.
The Aircraft Act, 1934 :
- It was enacted & enforced on 9th August 1934, to make better provision for the control of the manufacture, possession, use, operation, sale, import and export of aircraft.
The Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-private Partnership) Act, 2017 :
- It was enacted on 9th August 2017 & came into force on 6th September 2017, to declare certain Indian Institutes of Information Technology established under public-private partnership as institutions of national importance, with a view to develop new knowledge in information technology and to provide manpower of global standards for the information technology industry and to provide for certain other matters connected with such institutions or incidental thereto.
நாகசாகி தினம் - Nagasaki Day :
✒️On August 9, 1945, the United States dropped the "Fat Man" atomic bomb on the Japanese city of Nagasaki. The bomb is about 3.5 meters long, 1.5 meters in diameter, weighs 4500 kg and contains 1 kg of plutonium. 74,000 people lost their lives within seconds of the bomb being dropped. To commemorate the disaster of atomic bomb this day is observed.
- 1945ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9 தேதியன்று அமெரிக்கா ஃபேட் மேன் (Fat Man) என்னும் அணுகுண்டை ஜப்பானில் உள்ள நாகசாகி என்கிற நகரத்தின் மீது வீசியது. இக்குண்டு சுமார் 3.5 மீட்டர் நீளமும், 1.5 மீட்டர் விட்டமும், 4500 கிலோ எடையும், 1 கிலோ புளுட்டோனியத்தையும் கொண்டது. இக்குண்டு வீசப்பட்ட சில நொடிகளில் 74000 பேர் உயிர் இழந்தனர். அணுகுண்டின் விபரீதத்தை நினைவு கூற இத்தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
சர்வதேச உலக பூர்வ குடிமக்கள் தினம் - International Day of the World’s Indigenous People :
- ஐ.நா.பொதுச்சபை 1994ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 23 அன்று ஒரு தீர்மானத்தில் ஆகஸ்ட் 9ஆம் தேதியை உலக பூர்வ குடிமக்கள் (ஆதிவாசிகள்) தினமாக அறிவித்தது. இத்தினம் 1995ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- பூர்வ குடிமக்களின் கலாச்சாரத்தை பாதுகாத்தல், அரசியல், கல்வி, மொழி போன்றவற்றைக் கொடுத்தல், இவர்களுக்கு எதிராக நடக்கும் ஆக்கிரமிப்பை தடுத்தல் போன்ற விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்த இத்தினம் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
விநாயக கிருஷ்ண கோகாக் - Vinayaka Krishna Gokak - Writer :
- கன்னட இலக்கியப் படைப்பாளி விநாயக கிருஷ்ண கோகாக் 1909ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார்.
- இவர் கன்னடத்தில் எழுதி 1982ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளிவந்த 'பாரத சிந்து ராஷ்மி" என்ற காவியத்திற்காக 1990ஆம் ஆண்டு ஞானபீட விருது பெற்றவராவார்.
- இவர் கன்னடம், ஆங்கிலம் ஆகிய இரு மொழிகளிலும் நூல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். இவர் 1992ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 28ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟 சிங்கப்பூர் மலேசியக் கூட்டமைப்பில் இருந்து 1965 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் 9 ஆம் தேதி பிரிந்து தனி நாடாகியது - Singapore seceded from the Federation of Malaysia on 9 August 1965 and became an independent country.
🌟 1897ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9ஆம் தேதி இந்திய வழக்கறிஞரும், விடுதலைப் போராட்ட வீரருமான ஈ.கிருஷ்ண ஐயர் சென்னை மாகாணம் கல்லிடைக்குறிச்சியில் பிறந்தார் - E.Krishna Iyer, an Indian lawyer and freedom fighter, was born on August 9, 1897 in Kallidaikurichi, Chennai.
🌟 இந்திய நூலக அறிவியலின் தந்தை எஸ்.ஆர்.ரங்கநாதன் 1892ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9ஆம் தேதி சீர்காழியில் பிறந்தார் - The father of Indian library science, S.R. Ranganathan was born on August 9, 1893 in Sirkazhi.
🌟 1892ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9ஆம் தேதி தாமஸ் ஆல்வா எடிசன் தனது இருவழி தந்திக்கான காப்புரிமம் பெற்றார் - On 9th August 1892, Thomas Edison received its patent two-way telegraph.
🌟 இத்தாலிய இயற்பியலாளர் மற்றும் வேதியியலாளர், அமேடியோ அவகாதரோ 1776 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9 ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார் - Italian physicist and chemist, Amedeo Avogadro was born on August 9th 1776.
🌟 இத்தாலிய கணிதவியலாளர் மற்றும் வானவியலாளரான பிரான்செஸ்கோ பிரோசி 1537 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9 ஆம் தேதி பிறந்தார் - Italian mathematician and astronomer, Francesco Barozzi was born on August 9th 1537.
🌟 பைசா சாய்ந்த கோபுரத்தின் கட்டிட வேலைகள் 1173 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 9 ஆம் தேதி ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது - The construction work of the Leaning Tower of Pisa started on 9th August 1173.
