The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 :

✒️It was enacted on 16th August 1996 and came into force on 22nd August 1996, to consolidate and amend the law relating to domestic arbitration, international commercial arbitration and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards as also to define the law relating to conciliation and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

அ.மாதவையா - A.Madhaviah - Writer :

✒️Madhaviah, who is a Tamil pioneering writer, novelist and journalist, was born on August 16, 1872 in a village called Perungulam near Tirunelveli. In 1914, a poetry competition called Indian Kummi took place, in which Madhaviah won the first prize. He started the magazine "Panchamirtham" in 1925. He has written numerous articles in Tamil and English like novels, collections of short stories, plays and poems. He was elected as a member of the Madras University Senate in 1925. In the same year (22.10.1925) he addressed a meeting of the University Board of Governors to make Tamil a compulsory subject in undergraduate courses. When he sat down after speaking, he died on the spot.

தமிழ் முன்னோடி எழுத்தாளர், நாவல் ஆசிரியர், பத்திரிக்கையாளர் என பன்முகத்திறன் கொண்ட அ.மாதவையா 1872ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 16ஆம் தேதி திருநெல்வேலி அருகே பெருங்குளம் என்னும் கிராமத்தில் பிறந்தார்.

இந்திய கும்மி என்ற கவிதைப் போட்டி 1914ஆம் ஆண்டு நடந்தது. இதில் மாதவையாவுக்கு முதல் பரிசு கிடைத்தது. பஞ்சாமிர்தம் என்ற பத்திரிக்கையை 1925ஆம் ஆண்டு தொடங்கினார். நாவல், சிறுகதைத் தொகுப்பு, நாடகங்கள், கவிதைகள் என ஏராளமான கட்டுரைகளை தமிழிலும், ஆங்கிலத்திலும் எழுதியுள்ளார்.

சென்னை பல்கலைக்கழக செனட் உறுப்பினராக 1925ஆம் ஆண்டு தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார். அதே ஆண்டில் (22.10.1925) பல்கலைக்கழக ஆட்சிமன்றக் கூட்டத்தில் தமிழை இளங்கலைப் பட்டப்படிப்பில் கட்டாயப் பாடமாக சேர்க்க வேண்டும் என உரையாற்றினார். இவர் பேசி முடித்து அமர்ந்ததும் அந்த இடத்திலேயே உயிர் பிரிந்தது.

His 1984 English movie Terminator was a super hit one. His 1997 film Titanic won many awards including 11 Oscars. In 2012, he reached the world's deepest Mariana Trench, the Challenger Sink, alone in a special submersible.
