The National Service Act, 1972 :

✒️It was enacted on 9th June 1972 and came into force on 1st June 1973, to provide for the registration of qualified persons and for the rendering of national service by such persons and for matters connected therewith.

✒️Definition : 2 (c) "national service" means any service which is likely to assist the defence of India and civil defence or the conduct of military operations and includes such social service as the Central Government may, if it is of opinion that it is necessary for  purposes so to do, by notification specify in this behalf;

✒️Section 32 - Jurisdiction to try offences : No court inferior to that of a Presidency Magistrate or a Magistrate of the first class shall try any offence punishable under this Act.

✒️Section 33 - Protection of action taken in good faith : (1) No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against any person for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules, regulations or orders made thereunder. (2) No suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government for any damage caused or likely to be caused for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done in pursuance of this Act or any rules, regulations or orders made thereunder.

เฎ•ிเฎฐเฎฃ் เฎชேเฎŸி - Kiran Bedi - Former Governor of Puducherry - First Women IPS Officer - Social Activist - Politician :

✒️Kiran Bedi, India's first woman police officer, was born on 09 June 1949 in Amritsar, Punjab. She joined the Indian Police Service as the first woman IPS officer in 1972. She also established organizations like India Vision Foundation and Navjyothi India Foundation for people's development. In 1979, for rendering service to the people, she has received numerous awards, including the Police Medal of Valour, the Norwegian Award for Narcotics Control, and the Philippines's Magsaysay Award. She has also won many prizes and medals in Asian and national level tennis competitions. She brought many reforms in india during her service. She has rendered great service in the police force for many years. She also served as the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry State.

เฎœாเฎฐ்เฎœ் เฎธ்เฎŸீเฎชเฎฉ்เฎšเฎฉ் - George Stephenson - Engineer - Father of Railways :

✒️George Stephenson, the father of railways, was born on June 9, 1781 in Northumberland, England. He developed a safety lamp to protect workers from fire accidents in mines. He repaired the steam engine running on wooden rails and designed the iron rail locomotive. In 1829, in a competition held between railway masters, his world-famous engine called the Rocket won the first prize. Chesterfield railway station in England has a bronze statue of him and a model of a rocket train. George Stephenson, who made great achievements in the field of science without even getting basic education, died on August 12, 1848.

The present day Bihar and Jharkhand region was the origin of the tribal people's struggle in the 19th century during the Indian independence movement. He passed away on this day (09.06.1900).


๐ŸŒŸ 1834เฎ†เฎฎ் เฎ†เฎฃ்เฎŸு 9เฎ†เฎฎ் เฎคேเฎคி เฎชைเฎชிเฎณை เฎชเฎฒ เฎ‡เฎจ்เฎคிเฎฏ เฎฎொเฎดிเฎ•เฎณிเฎฒ் เฎฎொเฎดிเฎช்เฎชெเฎฏเฎฐ்เฎค்เฎค เฎตிเฎฒ்เฎฒிเฎฏเฎฎ் เฎ•ேเฎฐி เฎฎเฎฑைเฎจ்เฎคாเฎฐ் - William Carey, who translated the Bible into several Indian languages, died on the 9th of 1834. William Carey was an English Christian missionary, Baptist minister, translator, social reformer and cultural anthropologist who founded the Serampore College and the Serampore University, the first degree-awarding university and one of the oldest continuously operating educational institutes in India.
