The Designs Act, 2000 :

✒️It was enacted on 25th May 2000 and came into force on 11th May 2001, to consolidate and amend the law relating to protection of designs.

• The Intellectual Property Rights Acts in India are : The Copyright Act, 1957, Patents Act,1970, Trade Mark Act, 1999, The Designs Act, 2000, The Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection ) Act, 1999, The Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 and The SemiConductor Integrated Circuits Layout Design Act, 2000.

• Controller General of Patents appointed under the Trade & Merchandise Marks Act, 1958 serves as a Controller General of Designs. He is an authority appointed by the Central Government to carry out the purposes of the Act. He decides whether to allow registration of a Design or to refuse it and all the matters related to practical aspects of designs. The Controller has power to hear any person who makes a claim before him but he must give the applicant an opportunity of being heard.

• Appeal Can be filed against the decision of the Controller General to register a Design lies to the High Court.

• Other legal remedies also available, in case of fraud related to designs paving the way to file criminal and civil cases.

சர்வதேச காணாமல் போன குழந்தைகள் தினம் - International Missing Children's Day :

✒️an awareness creation day that is observed consistently on 25th May. The points of the day are to put a focus on the issue of child kidnapping, instruct guardians on shielding measures to safeguard their kids - The Day started as a recognition in the USA in 1983. The date was picked following the missing of 6-year-old Etan Patz on 25th May 1979 from New York City. World Missing Children's Day which notices a similar date was sent off various years after the fact in 2001 and is presently observed all over the world.

• ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் மே 25ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச காணாமல் போன குழந்தைகள் தினம் கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது.

✒️The Day is observed internationally on 25th May every year to aware the significance of Thyroid and the counteraction and treatment of thyroid infections.

• ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் உலக தைராய்டு தினம் மே 25ஆம் தேதி கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. உடலில் அயோடின் சத்து குறைவாக இருந்தால் இந்நோயானது ஏற்படுகிறது. தைராய்டு குறித்து விழிப்புணர்வு ஏற்படுத்தும் விதமாக தைராய்டு சர்வதேச கூட்டமைப்பு இத்தினத்தை அனுசரித்து வருகிறது.

மு.சி.பூர்ணலிங்கம் - Munnirpallam Sivasubramaniam Purnalingam Pillai - Renowned Writer - Dravidologist :

✒️Tamil scholar M.C.Purnalingam, who translated Tamil texts and made foreigners aware of the beauty of the language, was born on May 25, 1866 in a town called Munnirpallam in Tirunelveli district. He has written 18 books in Tamil, 32 books in English and books on law. He has also written short stories, novels, poetry, plays, children's literature, research articles and translations. In the English book Tamil India, he has stated the excellence of Tamil language with historical sources. He has explained the history of religious sages and their philosophies in the book Ten Tamil Sages. M.C.Poornalingam Pillai, who made great contributions to Tamil, passed away on June 6, 1947.

• தமிழ் நூல்களை மொழிப்பெயர்த்து வெளிநாட்டினருக்கும் மொழியின் அருமையை உணர்த்திய தமிழ் அறிஞர் மு.சி.பூர்ணலிங்கம் 1866ஆம் ஆண்டு மே 25ஆம் தேதி திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டத்திலுள்ள முந்நீர்ப்பள்ளம் என்ற ஊரில் பிறந்தார்.

• இவர் தமிழில் 18 நூல்களும், ஆங்கிலத்தில் 32 நூல்களும் மற்றும் சட்ட நூல்களையும் எழுதியுள்ளார். மேலும் சிறுகதை, நாவல், கவிதை, நாடகம், குழந்தை இலக்கியம், ஆய்வுக் கட்டுரைகள் மற்றும் மொழிப்பெயர்ப்புகளையும் எழுதியுள்ளார்.

• தமிழ் இந்தியா என்ற ஆங்கில நூலில் தமிழ் மொழியின் சிறப்பை வரலாற்று ஆதாரங்களோடு கூறியுள்ளார். சமயச் சான்றோர் வரலாறு மற்றும் அவர்களது தத்துவங்களை பத்துத் தமிழ் முனிவர்கள் என்ற நூலில் விளக்கியுள்ளார்.

• தமிழுக்குப் பெரும் தொண்டாற்றிய மு.சி.பூர்ணலிங்கம் பிள்ளை 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு ஜுன் 6ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.
