The Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act, 2017 :
✒️It was enacted on 12th April 2017 & came into force on 1st July 2017, to provide for compensation to the States for the loss of revenue arising on account of implementation of the goods and services tax in pursuance of the provisions of the Constitution (One Hundred and First Amendment) Act, 2016.
The Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 :
✒️It was enacted on 12th April 2017 & came into force on 22nd June 2017 for sections 1, 2, 3,4,5, 17, 21 and 22. 1st July 2017 for sections 6 to 16, 18 to 20 and 23 to 26, to make a provision for levy and collection of tax on intra-State supply of goods or services or both by the Union territories and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Transfer of Prisoners Act, 1950:
✒️It was enacted and enforced on 12th April 1950, to provide for the removal from one State to another of persons confined in a prison.
சர்வதேச விண்வெளி வீரர்கள் தினம் - International Day of Human Space Flight :
✒️The International Day of Human Spaceflight is observed every year on 12th April as International Astronaut Day. The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution to celebrate this day and a proposal was brought by Russia. The reason it is observed is to commemorate the space flight of the first man in space. On April 12, 1961, Yuri Gagarin of Russia flew aboard the Vostok-1 spacecraft, orbiting the Earth for 108 minutes and landing safely. In honor of Yuri Gagarin, the celebration of the International Astronaut Day began in Russia on April 12. It is now celebrated all over the world.
✒️மனித விண்வெளி பயணத்திற்கான சர்வதேச தினத்தை உலகம் முழுவதும் ஆண்டுதோறும் ஏப்ரல் 12ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச விண்வெளி வீரர்கள் தினமாக அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- இத்தினம் கொண்டாடுவதற்கு ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் பொதுச்சபை தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றி, ரஷ்யாவினால் இதற்கான முன்மொழிவு கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது. இத்தினம் அனுசரிக்கப்படுவதற்கான காரணம், விண்வெளிக்கு பயணித்த முதலாவது மனிதனின் விண்வெளி பயணத்தை நினைவுக்கூறுவதற்காக தான்.
- ரஷ்யாவைச் சேர்ந்த யூரி ககாரின் 1961ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 12ஆம் தேதி வஸ்டொக்-1 விண்கலத்தில் பயணம் செய்து 108 நிமிடங்கள் பூமியைச் சுற்றி வந்து பாதுகாப்பாக தரையிறங்கினார். யூரி ககாரின் நினைவாக ரஷ்யாவில் ஏப்ரல் 12ஆம் தேதி சர்வதேச விண்வெளி வீரர்கள் தின கொண்டாட்டம் ஆரம்பித்தது. அது இப்போது உலகம் முழுவதும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
வீதியோர சிறுவர்களுக்கான சர்வதேச தினம் - International Day for Street Children :
✒️International Day for Street Children is observed annually on 12th April as a day to advocate for the well-being and rights of the millions of street children around the world. It is observed for street children in many countries of the world including Morocco, Uganda, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India. Also, school children in many countries including the United Kingdom and Ireland also follow this practice.
✒️உலகெங்கும் கோடிக்கணக்கில் உள்ள வீதியோர சிறுவர்களின் நல்வாழ்வுக்கும், அவர்களின் உரிமைகளுக்காகவும் குரல்கொடுக்கும் தினமாக வீதியோர சிறுவர்களுக்கான சர்வதேச தினம் ஆண்டுதோறும் ஏப்ரல் 12ஆம் தேதி அனுசரிக்கப்படுகிறது.
- இத்தினம் மொராக்கோ, உகாண்டா, எத்தியோப்பியா, குவாத்தமாலா, இந்தியா உள்ளிட்ட பல உலக நாடுகளில் உள்ள வீதியோர சிறுவர்களுக்காக கடைபிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. அத்துடன் ஐக்கிய இராஜ்ஜியம், அயர்லாந்து உள்ளிட்ட பல நாடுகளில் பள்ளிச் சிறுவர்களும் இத்தினத்தை கடைபிடிக்கின்றனர்.

டாம் கிளான்ஸி - Thomas Leo Clancy - American Novelist :
✒️Tom Clancy, the author of world famous intelligence books, was born on April 12, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. His real name was Thomas Leo Clancy. He wanted to join the army. But that opportunity did not come due to visual impairment. However, he had a keen interest in the military, the Cold War and the political arena. So, he read many books about them. He wrote novels in his spare time. His novel 'The Hunt for Red October' was published in 1982. The first novel became a bestseller. Tom Clancy, hailed as one of the most prolific authors with millions of readers around the world, passed away at the age of 66 (1.10.2013).
✒️உலகப் புகழ்பெற்ற உளவுத்துறை சார்ந்த நூல்களை படைத்த டாம் கிளான்ஸி (Tom Clancy) 1947ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 12ஆம் தேதி அமெரிக்காவின் மேரி லேண்ட் மாநிலம் பால்ட்டிமோரில் பிறந்தார். இவரின் இயற்பெயர் தாமஸ் லியோ கிளான்ஸி.
- இவருக்கு ராணுவத்தில் சேர வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசையிருந்தது. ஆனால், பார்வைக் குறைபாடு காரணமாக அந்த வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கவில்லை. ஆனாலும், ராணுவம், பனிப்போர், அரசியல் களம் ஆகியவற்றில் மிகுந்த ஆர்வம் கொண்டிருந்தார். எனவே, அவற்றை பற்றிய பல புத்தகங்களை படித்தார்.
- இவர் ஓய்வு நேரங்களில் நாவல்கள் எழுதினார். இவரது 'தி ஹன்ட் ஃபார் ரெட் அக்டோபர்" (The Hunt for Red October) என்ற நாவல் 1982ஆம் ஆண்டு வெளியானது. முதல் நாவலே விற்பனையில் சாதனை படைத்தது.
- உலகம் முழுவதும் கோடிக்கணக்கான வாசகர்களை கொண்டு சாதனை படைத்த படைப்பாளிகளில் ஒருவராகப் போற்றப்படும் டாம் கிளான்ஸி தனது 66வது வயதில் (01.10.2013) மறைந்தார்.
