The SAARC Convention (Suppression of Terrorism) Act, 1993 :

✒️It was enacted and enforced on 26th April 1993, to give effect to the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Convention on Suppression of Terrorism and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

  • SAARC is a geopolitical union of South Asian nations and regional intergovernmental cooperation. The member states are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan and also includes nine observers which are Australia, China, the European Union, Iran, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mauritius, Myanmar, and the United States of America.


உலக அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமை தினம் World Intellectual Property Day :

✒️World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on 26th April since 2001. Also, on this day in 1970, the Intellectual Property Rights System was created. It is celebrated to raise awareness of the role of intellectual property rights in people's daily lives and to honor the contributions of inventors, artists and painters to society worldwide.
  • உலக அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமை தினம் ஏப்ரல் 26ஆம் தேதி 2001ஆம் ஆண்டுமுதல் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. மேலும், 1970ஆம் ஆண்டு இதே நாளில் அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமை அமைப்பு உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

  • இத்தினம் மக்களின் அன்றாட வாழ்வில் அறிவுசார் சொத்துரிமையின் பங்கு பற்றி மக்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும், உலகளாவிய ரீதியில் கண்டுபிடிப்பாளர்கள், கலைஞர்கள் மற்றும் ஓவியர்கள் சமூகத்திற்கு அளிக்கும் பங்களிப்புகளை கௌரவிக்கவும் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.

✒️Today Srinivasa Ramanujan's Memorial Day!
✒️Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan was born on 22nd December 1887 in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. His birthday is celebrated in India as National Mathematical Day!

  • இன்று இவரின் நினைவு தினம் !
  • இந்திய கணிதமேதை சீனிவாச இராமானுஜன் 1887ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 22ஆம் தேதி தமிழ்நாட்டிலுள்ள ஈரோடு மாவட்டத்தில் பிறந்தார். இவருடைய பிறந்தநாள் தேசிய கணித தினமாக இந்தியாவில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. 

  • இவருடைய வாழ்வில் "ஏ சினாப்ஸிஸ் ஆஃப் எலிமெண்டரி இன் ப்யூர் அண்ட் அப்ளைட் மேத்தமெட்டிக்ஸ்"(A Synopsis of Elementary Results in Pure and Applied Mathematics) என்ற புத்தகம் ஒரு திருப்புமுனையை ஏற்படுத்தியது. இந்த புத்தகமே இவருக்கு கணிதத்தில் இருந்த ஆர்வத்தை அதிகப்படுத்தியது.

  • இவர் தன்னுடைய 12வது வயதில் லோனி எழுதிய முக்கோணவியல் (Trigonometry) என்ற பாட புத்தகத்தை கல்லூரியில் இளங்கலை வகுப்பில் படித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த தன் பக்கத்து வீட்டு மாணவனிடமிருந்து கடன் வாங்கி படிக்கத் தொடங்கினார். அப்பாட புத்தகத்தை ஒரே வாசிப்பில் முடித்ததோடு மட்டுமல்லாமல் அதிலிருந்த எல்லா கணக்குகளையும் தானே போட்டு முடித்து விட்டார்.

  • இவர் மனதிலும், கையிலும் இருந்ததெல்லாம் விந்தைச் சதுரங்கள் (Magic Squares), தொடர் பின்னம் (Continued Fractions), பகா எண்களும் கலப்பு எண்களும் (Prime and Composite Numbers), எண் பிரிவினைகள் (Number Partitions), நீள்வட்டத் தொகையீடுகள் (Elliptic Integrals), மிகைப்பெருக்கத் தொடர் (hypergeometric series) மற்றும் உயர்தர கணிதப்பொருள்களுமாகும். 

  • ராமானுஜன் ஆய்வுகளில் தியரி ஆஃப் ஈகுவேசன்ஸ் (Theory of Equations), தியரி ஆஃப் நம்பர்ஸ், டெஃபினிட் இன்ட்டக்ரல்ஸ் (Theory of Numbers, Definite Integrals), தியரி ஆஃப் பார்டிஷன்ஸ் (Theory of Partitions), எலிப்டிக் ஃபங்ஷன்ஸ் அண்ட் கண்டினியூடு ஃப்ராக்சன்ஸ் (Elliptic Functions and Continued Fractions) எனும் நிலைப்பாடுகள் மிகச் சிறந்தவைகளாக கருதப்படுகின்றன.

  • 1914ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கும், 1918ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கும் இடைப்பட்ட காலக்கட்டத்தில் இவர் 3000க்கும் அதிகமான புதுக் கணிதத் தேற்றங்களில் கண்டுபிடித்த உண்மைகள் இன்று இயற்பியல் துறை முதல் மின்தொடர்புப் பொறியியல் துறை வரை, பல துறை உயர்மட்டங்களில் அடிப்படையாக பயன்படுத்தப்பட்டு வருகின்றது. 

  • உலகத்தை வியக்கச் செய்த ஒப்பற்ற பெரும் கணிதமேதையாக திகழ்ந்த இவர் 1920ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் 26ந் தேதி தனது 32வது வயதில் மறைந்தார்.
