Near and dear aspirants, the object of this blog is to motivate you to become a successful person in the examinations conducted by the Indian Government or any other organisation around the world. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976 :
✒️It was enacted on 18th September 1976 & came into force on 27th July 1977, to provide for the inclusion in, and the exclusion from, the lists of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, of certain castes and tribes, for the re-adjustment of representation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in so far as such re-adjustment is necessitated by such inclusion or exclusion and for matters connected therewith.
The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 :
✒️It was enacted on 18th September 2013 & came into force on 6th December 2013, to provide for the prohibition of employment as manual scavengers, rehabilitation of manual scavengers and their families, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991:
✒️It was enacted on 18th September, 1991 & 1(3) The provisions of sections 3, 6 and 8 shall come into force at once and the remaining provisions of this Act shall be deemed to have come into force on 11th July, 1991, to prohibit conversion of any place of worship and to provide for the maintenance of the religious character of any place of worship as it existed on the 15th day of August, 1947, and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The Remittances of Foreign Exchange and Investment in Foreign Exchange Bonds (Immunities and Exemptions) Act, 1991:
✒️It was enacted & enforced on 18th September 1991, to provide for certain immunities to persons receiving remittances in foreign exchange and to persons owning the Foreign Exchange Bonds and for certain exemptions from direct taxes in relation to such remittances and bonds and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
உலக மூங்கில் தினம் - World Bamboo Day :
- உலக மூங்கில் தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் செப்டம்பர் 18ஆம் தேதி உலகளவில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
- மூங்கில் பச்சைத் தங்கம் என்றும், ஏழைகளின் மரம் என்றும், வனவாசிகளின் வாழ்வாதாரம் என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகின்றது.
- மற்ற மரங்களைக் காட்டிலும் மூங்கில் மரம் அதிகளவு கரியமில வாயுவை (கார்பன்-டை-ஆக்சைடு) எடுத்துக்கொண்டும், அதிக அளவிலான பிராண வாயுவை (ஆக்சிஜன்) வெளியேற்றும் தன்மை கொண்டது. மூங்கில் அதிகமாக வளர்ந்த இடம் குளிர்ச்சியாக இருக்கும்.
- இயற்கை, இந்தியாவிற்கு கொடுத்த கொடை 'மூங்கில்". இதை மத்திய அரசாங்கம் 'தேசிய மூங்கில் இயக்கம்" (National Bamboo Mission) என்ற இயக்கத்தின் மூலம் பிரபலப்படுத்துகிறது.
உலக தண்ணீர் கண்காணிப்பு தினம் - World Water Monitoring Day :
- உலக தண்ணீர் கண்காணிப்பு தினம் ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் செப்டம்பர் 18ஆம் தேதி உலகளவில் கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
- உலகம் முழுவதும் தண்ணீர் வளங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பதில் பொது விழிப்புணர்வு மற்றும் ஈடுபாட்டை உருவாக்க வேண்டும்.
- உள்ளூர் நீர்நிலைகளின் அமிலத்தன்மை, காரத்தன்மை ஆகியவற்றை பரிசோதித்து பார்த்து, நீரின் தரம் குறையாமல் பாதுகாத்திட வேண்டும். மேலும், தண்ணீரை கண்காணிக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக அமெரிக்காவின் "க்ளீன் வாட்டர் ஃபவுண்டேஷன்" (Clean Water Foundation) இத்தினத்தை 2003ஆம் ஆண்டு அறிவித்தது.

சாமுவேல் ஜான்சன் - Samuel Johnson - Writer - Lexicographer :
- ஆங்கில அகராதியை முதன்முதலில் உருவாக்கிய சாமுவேல் ஜான்சன் 1709ஆம் ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 18ஆம் தேதி இங்கிலாந்தில் பிறந்தார்.
- ஆங்கிலேய இலக்கியத்திற்கு பெரும் பங்காற்றிய ஆங்கிலேயக் கவிஞரும், எழுத்தாளரும், கட்டுரையாளரும், இலக்கியத் திறனாய்வாளரும், வாழ்க்கை வரலாற்றாளரும், இதழாசிரியரும் மற்றும் அகராதியியலாளரும் ஆவார். இவரது அகராதி 1755ஆம் ஆண்டில் வெளியானது.
- ஆக்ஸ்ஃபோர்டு ஆங்கில அகராதி வெளிவரும் வரை, ஜான்சனின் அகராதியே பிரித்தானியாவில் முதன்மை அகராதியாக விளங்கி வந்தது. இவர் 1784ஆம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 13ந் தேதி மறைந்தார்.

🌟The Punjab Reorganisation Act, 1966: It was enacted & enforced on 18th September 1966, to provide for the Reorganisation of the existing State of Punjab and for matters connected therewith.
🌟The Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh (Transfer of Territories) Act, 1959: It was enacted & enforced on 18th September 1959, to provide for the transfer of certain territories from the State of Rajasthan to the State of Madhya Pradesh and for matters connected therewith.
